A compilation of shots of the UP Torrance Switcher going about its work in the southwestern Los Angeles, California area.
July 13, 2016:
1. Southbound arriving at Conoco in Gardena.
2. Leaving most of the train on the main, the Torrance sets out one car in the runaround track. They will switch this car on their way back north.
3. Reversing back to the train and preparing to switch Conoco.
4. Southbound at Gardena Blvd.
5. Setting out lumber cars at Normandie / 166th in Gardena. These cars will be shoved west to Crenshaw Lumber later.
6. Northbound at 124th St. in South Los Angeles.
July 21, 2016:
7. Southbound at 124th St.
8. Southbound / westbound along 166th St. in Gardena.
9. Shoving down to the end of the branch in Torrance, passing underneath the old Pacific Electric arch bridge.
10. Switching at the end of the branch.
11. Departing the end of the branch.
12. Northbound at 182nd St. in Gardena.
13. Shoving west across Normandie, heading down the lumber lead in Gardena.
14. Shoving past the wigwag at Denker Ave.
15. Switching at the Crenshaw lumber yard, with the head end near the wigwag at Hobart Blvd.
