I like both Upchurch and Tom. The difference between the two is that I can listen to a Tom song a few times at most and appreciate it. Upchurch gets bumped on the regular and is all over all of my playlists and will be forever. I grew up listening to hip hop and outgrew it decades ago. Upchurch brought me back. Now I bump Burden, ACal, Tyson James, Bryson Gray, and others. Would have never happened if I had never found Upchurch music. Thankfully I was following him when he just did funny comedy skits. First song I ever heard from Church was Come And Get It. I was dumbfounded and realized that he is for real. He ain't joking around with his music. Immediately found Ghost, White Lightning, Rolling Stones and some others and was hooked. I hope Tom responds. I don't think he will.
