Upcycled jars using IOD Conservatory Labels

In today's video, we are trying out some Terra Cotta paint from @plaidcrafts and using the @IronOrchidDesigns Conservatory Labels mould and the Apothecary Labels stamp to upcycle some jars to make cute storage for our craft supplies.

Thanks for the video… I couldn’t find any where the description of the type of clay you were using? Also , will you clear coat the entire jar later , to protect the integrity of the piece since it is acrylic paint on glass, and if you’re going to make it, utilitarian, it may scratch? Thanks… hope to hear from you soon!😊

Hi there! I used Jovi Clay. I do not plan on clear coating. The jars will be sitting inside my IKEA rolling cart so they will not have much wear and tear. If you plan to use these on outdoor pots, I would definitely put an outdoor sealer on them. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

Can you please explain again how you made your stick for applying the stamp letters.

I took a scrap piece of wood, painted it and added double-sided sticky tape to the end. I do have to change out the sticky tape each time I use it. You could really use anything (jumbo pencil, old paintbrush handle, etc.). Add the double-sided sticky tape and you are all set :)
