The lamp honestly isn't that bad. It can at least be used as an industrial type art piece if you're into that kinda thing. I wouldn't use it personally, but I can see why others would, at least. And the pants planters are actually a neat idea. I actually like those unironically. Again, not something I personally would own, but they're actually kinda cool.

The butter candle feels like a prank you'd pull on someone, like pretend ot is a regular wax candle, but then just dip something in it out of nowhere and take a bite, just for the reaction. The People magazine wallpaper one reminds me of my grandparent's basement bathroom. It has a unique wallpaper made up of old timey newspaper ads, just printed on the wallpaper like any other design. Kind of liked it, gave me something to read while I used the john.

That's my assumption also. Probably some home reno planned for that area or something. When my sister's house was being renovated, one Christmas they had a tree that kept falling over, so they screwed it directly into the floor out of frustration, since the floor was planned to be replaced anyway.

I've seen half-baths with vintage posters or magazine covers done tastefully. The person was having the bath theme be vintage and the posters or covers were mostly an image with probably French or Italian text. The People magazine is a strange choice in my opinion for wall décor.
