Hey Jordan. As stated my name is Tom. 8^) I live over in Vermont and have been following you pretty much from the beginning because I have a soft spot in my heart for Michigan. Back in 2010 I was living in Florida and working for a company out of Georgia that traveled across the country dismantling bottling companies that had shut down. One of our jobs was in Holland Michigan. Between February and May I spent about 6 weeks there. If you've never been I highly recommend it as a weekend get away for you and your new bride. Saugatauk (sp) is right near there and is a cool little town worth exploring, There's some sort of tulip festival in Holland in either spring or early summer. But anyway love what you are doing and as this video started i thought..."You know what would be cool? If he gave a little history of the area." I'm not trying to run your channel or anything 8^)...but it would be neat to know a little bit about the founding and subsequent growth of the area that eventually led to the damns being built. Just kind of sprinkle some in here and there. But anyway congratulations on your wedding, good luck hunting and keep up the good work.

How deep is the water there by the dam? Wow. Crazy seeing the seasons changing. When this journey began, the trees had just begun to sprout their bright green leaves & now, we're looking at the beautiful fall colors. I see this video was taken on my birthday! Yeehaw. Looking forward to the more videos. Also, I noticed a lack of birdsong on this video. I'm working from home & there are always lots of geese by my place & when I hear them, it makes me think of your videos. I missed hearing them in these one. Congratulations again on your nuptials! I love the photos you've posted.

The people of the area have come a long way, but it looks like they still have a lot of work yet to be done. Thanx for the video. When a dam fails it makes a big mess and takes a long time to recover. Depending on the funding and who does the work, this might be a 10 or more year project. From what I've seen though, I'm highly skeptical of Boyce Hydro. This is an emergency flood control project and federal dam inspectors need to monitor every square inch of "repairs" that are made. People live downstream from dams, I've live downstream from about 3 dams for 60 years, you can bet I keep my eye on them.

@JordanMowbray4 жыл бұрын
There will be repairs made to the embankment and the spillway lowered so the path of water is redirected back to the way it used to flow. This will not be a repairing of the dam and is being done for safety purposes.
@green-gables4 жыл бұрын
Review plans for the Edenville Dam on the website of the Four Lakes Task Force. Current plans are to stabilize the Tittabawasee side of the dam and the Tobacco River side to prevent any further damage and to fortify against Spring melting and rains and to allow repair of the two bridges there. Significant studies were conducted there recently. The timeline for actually rebuilding the dam will be found at the website.
