Your friend was probably talking about a neti pot. I have one. You pour saline solution in one nostril and it comes out the other. It does give you immediate relief by clearing the cavity, but if your sinus membranes are swollen, you need more than that. You'll be stopped up again, fast. Plus, yeah, it is uncomfortable to get used to pouring water in your nose! Feel better soon.

I like Tamar but she did sound a mess at itunes fest...she was lip syncing on the first song the one and it was very noticeable...and the most of the songs she did live she was definitely off key, and her 90's struggle choreography I'm not even gonna get into that... One thing I will say is tamar can really sing which I why I don't understand why all of her recent live performances sound a mess
