Thanks Keith! Just one extra note, ASAv has built in ASDM in the main ASA code already. There is no needs to download and configure ASDM image at ASAv. :)

Keith how long do you think before Cisco bin off the ASA in favour of the new firepower firewalls? Is it worth me learning the ASA when Cisco will retire it eventually like the pix??

Thank you for the question shezzy97. Based on the hundreds of thousands of ASAs currently in place, and the cost of the new FTD updates and/or replacements, I feel the ASAs will be around for a long time to come. The problem is that they work so well!
