The new buyers are planning to save the mall from demolition. They are putting up security cameras, infrared cameras, alarms, motion sensors, fencing, and new sturdy wood boards to save the life of the building from vandals. They are currently working on the future use of the mall.

There are no new buyers. That was a scam by the Asian company who owns it tried to pay this other company to buy the mall. It will be demolished the city has taken over. Sad how a out of the country company can let this property rot and be a hazard for the community. Evil greedy sneaky crooks

unfortunately your wrong i was in there not even a week ago and the only security measures in place are ring cameras at each of the boarded entrances😭 not to mention there’s no saving the mall with that much black mold and asbestos

Interesting video. The owner is being fined $2000/day now for it's condition as a fire hazard, and that's up to $30,000 already. Since fixing those problems would cost a fortune, this will probably go the way of fines accumulating until the city takes it over and demolishes it at an estimated cost of $15M. The city tried that in March and lost in court, but eventually that's probably how it will end up. It seems too far gone to repurpose for warehousing, which has been the new life for many old defunct malls.
