Where I live in Norfolk there are roadside dwellers who stop over, stall out and sell wood carvings, sticks, painted metalware, brass ornaments, art, etc. No one here minds, as far as I am aware. We just let them get on with their lives. You can drive down any country road and find many little stalls outside people's houses selling all sorts, eggs, cabbages, tomatoes, strawberries, apples, carrots, plants, grass cutters, pushbikes etc. Its normal here. Just put your money in an honesty box. Every village has a house somewhere selling something by the road. Officials need to understand It's a way of life.

Hi Craig, Hope Chris is doing ok, I commented on last video and said I would e-mail the council, I did so on Monday, I made the point that Chris is not trading as such as he is only asking for donations and that if it went to court he would have a strong case, also recommended that they re consider this case. may not make a difference but we can only try. I would have thought Chris could get legal aid if it goes that far.

Guy's, I think the law needs to be a bit more relaxed, But, the police & council did conduct themselves in a professional manor, the law is the re for a reason, sorry, no one was treated badly, I'm a full time van lifer now but I have a great respect for the police who are portrayed as evil & bad, the world would be in chaos without these people, ps I love the channel, great content ❤

Have a look at the Equalities Act 2011. If Chris is not drawing a pension and a traders licence is refused, it seems to be direct discrimination, and is against the law? Worth looking at applying for a licence, as refusal would put them into a very difficult situation, as this would mean cancelling his only form of income. There are all sorts of other peripheral issues, such as provision of housing, and duty of care of the local council.
