I had a sling bag first for an EDC bag but decided to do a combo EDC / get home bag and it is more comfortable for longer use. I loved my Maxpedition sling pack though. Thanks for watching.

Outstanding! Love the moraknife, and I think having restraints are great. I carry flex cuffs for the simple reason that if I have to hold someone at gun point for an extended period of time the odds of them getting froggy or me getting distracted increase every minute I'm waiting for help. Restraints can keep folks from getting shot.

Great kit. Not sure if you have the room, but I'd beef up/add some shelter options (other than cheap mylar blankets), perhaps change out the water bottle for a single all stainless bottle as another means to purify water incase your filter goes down.

@Sparrow Flying I have emergency food in the truck that is not stored in the bag just because it doubles as an EDC bag as well. If i have to ditch the truck, the items used for that gets tossed and the food goes in.

In All the edc videos I’ve watched, nobody else ever puts in a hacksaw blade. I have two. A course and fine. Takes up no room and will cut anything.

I actually carry a small hack saw blade that I cut down to about 3 1/2 inches in my wallet. String a small piece of paracord through the hole in the end of the blade to help you hold on while using it. Not too much you can't cut with a hacksaw blade and makes a great striker for a ferro rod.

Nicely done! I would add a good mid-size survival knife (cold steel SRK or tops mohawk hunter are my suggestions), a best glide ase advanced survival tin (would lighten your loadout by letting you pull a good amount of heavier stuff out), and some sort of rations like quest bars

DTOM Knives and Gear only Esee fixed blade I’ve ever tested (on the old channel) was the Junglas. I have zero experience with their small to mid size blades

Lot’s of stuff. Can you provide a link or name of the dome light? Suggest you throw a 55 gallon HD contractor bag in the kit, a poncho and clear googles.

Man. I have had a lot of requests for the dome light and it is no longer sold on Amazon. 🤬🤬 I was disappointed. I will get the name for you though. I have a poncho and goggles in the truck but really need to find a way to get them in the bag. If I am not in my truck they are no good right. Thank you sir. If you cannot fit the goggles put a set of swimming goggles instead. I am also adding face shields. Great setup man. 1 question. Where'd you get that coin? It's a pretty sweet looking coin. I don't like gun related patches on my bag or stickers on my car. I feel like they kind of put a target on you. It just screams "I've got a gun." I'd rather keep the element of surprise. That's me tho. Still love the bag and setup. Take Care and Be Aware

Thanks man. I got the coin on Amazon. And I totally understand why you feel that way about patches and stickers. You are correct, it does say you have a gun. My bag is always with me but hidden in my car if I don't bring it in and when I do it is at a place that people know me. When I travel with the bag, they come off. However it has also been a talking point for people and they ask questions. When they do it gives me the opportunity to let folks know about the gun laws in mt area so I do feel its OK sometimes. @@dtomknivesandgear6635 I have a Parent Geniuses Pocket Blanket and a space blanket inside it. And enough paracord wrapped around the whole thing to set up a temporary shelter just big enough to keep the elements off of my kiddo and me. It packs small enough to fit in my cargo pocket. 😊

I've been watching lots of these and setting up my edc bag and also have a bag in my car for emergencies but I frequently review things to consider what would I need in a realistic situation? Truth is that these videos and gear are mainly driven by fantasies that are unlikely to happen - if anyone talks about an EMP they are in fantasyland. That said, real scenarios are like if you live in an area prone to hurricanes, blizzards, or wildfires, or get stranded with no gas or something esp in the winter. Some sensible prep is smart but the truth is that most of this is just for fun for most people! It's a hobby that people justify by overstating the likelihood of various things happening to them. "you never know!" Personally I try to lighten the load every few weeks by reconsidering something I may have added bc it looked cool on a video.

As usual, way too much stuff for a get home bag. You've made some good choices regarding gear, but you could easily lose a lot of that stuff and never miss it, especially in a true emergency.

Absolutely. However it is an EDC bag as well so a lot of stuff I use for that. I don't get upset for someone giving me advise. So please let me know what should be changed. I am no expert that is for sure and I rely on folks like you to help out.
