Do you think the longevity and dedication it takes is worth the salary/pay therapists receive?
@ceethecounsellor3 күн бұрын
I think it partly depends on where you live and some places are quite isolated but if you live in a busier city, it can be easy to get a job and lots of private clients but the higher pay can take years to get to so it might be worth it depending on what your standard of living is

@ do you find yourself listening more, rather than giving your opinion or offering solutions?
@ceethecounsellor3 күн бұрын
Sometimes I listen more because some clients have a lot to get off their chest and some are quite chatty. Some are not sure they have much to say so I have to prompt a lot of the conversations by asking questions that will get them to speak and share more. It all depends on the client, some clients just need to be heard more than talked at and vice versa

@ thanks cee. I work in a similar position in mh but we are not allowed to offer advice or give our opinion. So, I was wondering if it’s the same.
@ceethecounsellor2 күн бұрын
We’re also not allowed to give advice but once in a while, IF it’s beneficial for the client, we can share our opinion on something

Hi, I’m not sure if it’s government funded, but if it’s not, you should still be able to get a loan which you can pay back at a later time
