Great job figuring this out. I was having the same issues and while I'm not a helicopter rated pilot I have been around them long enough to know how they do work. Your fix worked perfectly for me. Thanks for posting it.

Has this been fixed by now by the devs? I put together a heli profile today and I have no such issues as far as I can tell, I used the big Bell Heli

It worked with Flight Model trick!! After almost two days of torture trying to fight this crazy bug with oscillation I can finally enjoy flying the helicopters in the sim. Huuuge thanks to the person who figured this out! 😃

@@MrJayboogie34 It's in the description to this video. Let me just quote it "Make sure you are at the main menu and not in a flight. Go to Options, General Options, Flight Model. Change to Legacy. Hit Apply and Save. Load a flight with the helicopter. It should work fine. End the flight all the way, and go back to Main Menu. Go back to Options, General Options, Flight Model. Change back to Modern. Start a new flight. "

I had reinstalled the whole God Damn game after hours of trying. Have the same behavior. I will edit this post when I will try the fix. Thanks for posting the video.

I did an app reset in Windows settings and deleted all of my hardware profiles. Nothing. I read that a reinstall didn't work which implicated the "cloud" file that keeps all of your settings. Delete that and you lose your logbook. Really grateful I came across the MSFS forum posts before I deleted anything else. It was time for me to re-map my controls anyway. Over the past two years they have become unorganized. Good luck and let us know!

What i think causes this is the sensitivity of the controler if its to high the helis spin cause they have to be handled gentler.

It's definitely been confirmed to be a bug of some kind. It's easily fixed. In fact I'm about to go live with the same helicopter with fix in the description applied.

Hi... I've been dealing with this exact problem since this morning and I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I finally solved it by resetting all the settings to default: General options > Graphics > Reset to defaults (I repeated this with Camera, Sound, etc.). Then I opened Assistance options and reset everything to default there as well. After restarting the game, everything was fine...;) I didn't find out exactly where the problem was, but the reset helped...;)

I have tried the recommended fix Legacy/Modern flight model. The helicopter oscillates back and forth, side to side. I have also the Piloting Help on, but as I take off the helicopter oscillates out of control. ???

Make sure that when you change to legacy you have backed out all the way to the main screen which completely unloads your helicoptere. Then change to legacy/full realistic. Reload the helicopter. Fly around a bit. Hopefully it works. Then back out again all the way to the main screen which again, unloads the helicopter. Go back to options and change flight model back to modern. Then reload the helicopter. The first few times I tried it, I was just hitting escape and going to the settings with the helicopter still loaded. I think changing the flight that way doesn't change it for that flight.

@@michaeltoddaviation You may want to read what Peter Bartos posted in these comments. He did a different procedure and fixed the problem. And you did switch to legacy from the main menu correct? Not while "in" the helicopter by hitting the escape key and going directly to settings.

i have the same problem my joke is good and i fly helis in xp12 no problem on the as350 but soon i step in to ms2020 mini heli or bell207 same dancing samba like your cant geth ride off it but its not fly by wire its fly by pixel

You don't have to use my procedure... Use IvanSky's procedure - it will definitely solve your problem. My procedure was just an act of desperation after hours of searching for a solution (although it did help to me).

Had the same issue, but can confirm that in Flight Model switch to Legacy Mode and Realistic start a flight, then back to main menu switch back to Modern, and after that the helicopters work like a charm! It was the "Realistic" that did the trick for me, when it was set to "FSX" it didn't work.

if you have assistance turn on then... ?!? it's like the AP is having lag with you and enters oscillations. Turn off assistance and fly without crutches. I mean if you are into helicopters enough to make a video about them... why bother with assistance? It only teaches you bad habits. And it's apparently not working as a bonus :D .
