Guys, Kuban, Bilhorod, Kursk, these were Ukrainian territories but they are not anymore. Holodomor, other russification and genocide was used to get rid of Ukrainian populations there. In 1926 population of Ukrainians in Kuban was 55.4% but now it's 0.5%. It's same as Western Ukraine, which was at one point Polish territories. But it's not anymore, so let's be like Russia and claim land that isn't ours. Taking these territories for the negotiating table is fine, but these should not be part of Ukraine, the occupied territories should be.

there are many paths to victory. some are tactical, some are operational, some are strategic, some are grand strategy. not losing is one - that has worked for Ukraine. a surprise attack defeating Russian forces on their own territory is another. occupying Russian might be another - to force a realignment of their forces or shame Vlad in the eyes of the Russian public &/or demonstrate to the NATO allies the strength & sophistication of Ukraine's military. I will be surprised if Ukraine plans to hold the territory taken. however, if so it could be to make Ukraine stronger in peace talks... trading Russian land for Ukrainian. study the end of the Korean War ... negotiations took place while forces battled over unimportant positions ... just to improve a side's negotiating position. war is complex & many-layered.

Iam in Nigeria and I know that, while many contend with problems at home , millions are lovers of Ukraine. Only video/ films I watch for 2 years now are Ukrainian success on the Frontline. Hundreds of those films in my phone since day 1 of the war. Several meeting points in cities talk of only Ukraine . Though I have no talks about Nigerian North where Education among the locals is next to Zero . Link that area to Mali and Niger. But END HUNGER PROTEST to Government is enough to grasp with. Much love to you, Brother. It never cease to surprise me how there is support for Ukraine all over the world. In my current country, Spain, people dont really care very much, just a small segment. Distance makes for ignorance. In my home country, Sweden, weve been dealing with Russians for many hundreds of years and everybody knows the threat we are under. For me personally it goes even deeper, Kremlin drove my grandma from her home in Estonia in 39. She saw what happened in Russia from refugees fleeing thru Estonia, thinking ahe was safe and nothing could happen to her. A few years later she had to join them, very bitter for her. Unbelievable ! As an American tax-payer, I say NOW is the time for Europe AND the US to redouble aid to Ukraine. If the territory taken can be expanded and held onto, Russia might be forced to settle for the pre-2014 borders.... Ukraine has paid in blood, and Ukraine's allies have made the invesment in money. By increasing the effort NOW, the pay-off we all want might be obtained sooner than seemed possible only yesterday...

This is the reversal of fortune that Ukraine has been waiting for since the beginning of the war. If the Ukrainian army keeps this up it will force Russia into submission and the acceptance of a negotiated settlement.
