Honestly, I'm starting to admire the Russians. You can tell that they have really begun to master military failure as an art form. It takes years of dedication and motivation to learn how to fail so spectacularly. Most militaries would struggle to lose so many vehicles in such a battle, maybe they'd lose 3-5, but Russia managed to perform a truly great feat of losing about 70 vehicles. Ukraine and Nato will never learn how to fail as good as the Russians
@darthwiizius

They didn't lose them it was a special sudden decommissioning operation. And their men weren't killed they were tasked with a special ending respiration operation or a special spreading limbs over a wide area operation with some brave heroes of Russia managing success in all 3, their families will be proud at the glorious 3 extra medals they'll receive with the bucket containing their remains.

I wonder how many more Commie cookers Herr Putler has left now, ah well it's less than yesterday I suppose and he still has a fair amount of meat to throw at Ukrainian guns with their now limitless ammunition. Fun fact: The Ukrainian military budget over the next 6 months is already larger than than Russia's entire annual military budget, the US alone is supplying 2/3rds of the military budget of Russia so everyday more and more heavy weapons with unlimited(compared to Russia) munitions to fire from them and troops trained to use them are arriving in theatre. Russia has already lost sonny it's just a matter of how many Russian kids Herr Putler will sacrifice before their invasion and Russia itself collapses under the weight of it's murderous genocidal NAZI invasion of Ukraine.

Not admitting mistakes or even being able to speak up when somebody is about to make a huge one is a problem in all Eastern and Central European countries...Leaders in every industry usually get there because of political connection instead of merit, and surround themselves with "yes men" who agree everything they say is a great idea or simply don't say anything and carry out the failed task. But we should not see this as a Russian failure, we should see it as a Ukrainian victory...and excellent leadership on top of it. Rather than destroying those bridges when they were found, the Ukrainian forces set up an ambush and attacked at the most opportune time with outstanding results. Even the US military could not hoped for better success if they were fighting anyone in the world. Well done, Slava Ukraini!

_they probably have three main supply lines, going west-south-west.. distanced from one another at an equal range.. if your raiders have destroyed enough front defenses, and liberated enough villages for Liberators to hold and build into defensive camps.. make three large recon groups to find all three of those supply lines.. once you identify one, search the others at a large enough distance from that one, either to left or right across the border.. and once all three are found, they won't be able to find a new "backup" in time.. since they will get lost immediately (they don't know the territory, and it's too dangerous to travel randomly since you can ambush them anywhere "new")_

Thank you Denys for your informative updates. I was born in 1949. Forty years of my life were under the cloud of the Cold War, with the fear of nuclear Amageddon especially during the early 60s. At school we were told we had four minutes to take shelter. When the Berlin Wall came down and Communism collapsed I was full of joy that we could look forward to to a new era of peace and harmony with the former Soviet empire. That period of hope, and of friendship with the Russians lasted 30-odd years. Hell, only six months ago my business sold products to a customer in Moscow. That was inconceivable in the 1970s and 1980s. Now Putin has ruined everything. Not just for the Ukrainians and the wider world, but for his own people. He has in one stroke of his pen made Russia a pariah nation. Thousands of needless deaths on both sides. And for what? WHY?

Keep sending Ukraine weapons and ammunition. The war will not end until there are no more Russian soldiers left in Ukraine. There is nothing to negotiate. Just like the Budapest Memorandum that Russians signed in 1994, no agreement with Russia is worth the paper it is written on.

It seems that Russian strategy is massing larger numbers repeatedly. In a fight of attrition, this seems like a good idea. Further south, artillery carpet bombing then advancing the creeping attack by ground troops, you’ve repeatedly described again and again. I wish the Ukrainian could have an attack by sea up along the coast, that, if successful, would break the artillery positions bombing Mariupol. An amphibious landing with lots of drones.

Ukraine definitely needs a swarm of Anavia HT-100. One HT-100 can carry 2-4 Javelin rounds to reduce the amount of functional Russian BTGs.

@@blkted2945 I have continued to come to the same conclusion. As far as naval combat exists, it is all about "snake" Island (ha what a name!) . Somehow, someway there has to be built by the Ukrainians a big enough distractor, iin the Odessa neighborhood, to cause everyone to look in that direction, while some kind of powerful, but temporary shock needs to occur further up the coast that would loosen the grip on the Donbas areas. But then I don't know enough.

Gone are the days where hordes of Russian infantry would take control of territory to clear the way for tanks. There are no Russian infantry divisions in Ukraine, only mechanized infantry, tanks and mostly formerly VDV airborne mechanized infantry. FYI a full strength VDV infantry company has less than 50 dismountable infantry!? At 75% peacetime strength, the vehicles are manned but the dismounts drop to 30ish! That's as many as an under strength infantry platoon! What it comes down to is the Russians don't have enough...everything to get the job done. They have struck the tar-baby and are thoroughly stuck! (pardon the Brer Rabbit metaphor)

This, if true, is yet another mistake the Rus appear to have made. infantry and tanks are symbiotic, but clearly not here. The totalitarian fascination with having the biggest everything does not seem to be serving them well here.

Very well put. I remember dismounts, I was like hell nah.....leaving an nice warm vehicle to rush the enemy, but our Mech Inf guys were pumped. Gave a whole new meaning of dismounts.

There's a lot of people like myself who do not trust the media, CNN, BBC, NBC, etc so we tune in to you and other KZbinrs around the world to get a truer picture of the goings on. From my homeland, Cuba, KZbin is not an alternative, it is the only way to get the truth our of the Communist censorship. You guys are very important to the world. Keep doing what you're doing, my friend, you're doing a great job. In my opinion you're the best source we have covering the Russian invasion and occupation. God bless

If you want to call this a "counteroffensive operation" feel free to do so for "reporting purposes only". This was really a massacre and is war. I hope young Russian conscripts take the message on time and I firmly believe you should kill for your country for a good cause not die for your country in an unjustified invasion.
