We live in unsanitary conditions: bedbugs, cockroaches, fungus on the walls, a clogged toilet, cracked window panes sealed with duct tape, damp walls with water on the windowsill in the cold season and a 1980 refrigerator. If I get a job legally, there is a high probability that I will be mobilized for the war. You cannot get a job without visiting the military enlistment office. To avoid fines, the employer is obliged to monitor the registration of employees on military registration. Even the disabled of the third group are taken away to fight. If my family doesn't pay for the dorm room on time, we'll be thrown out on the street. The state has closed all social programs that could help us. People living in their apartment can save and pay much less, in addition, the state provides them with cash subsidies. It is much worse for homeless displaced refugees from broken cities, living in a crowd in one cramped shelter room. If i remember right, Romania delivered a lot of light and heavy mortars and keeps delivering ammunition for such systems on a regular basis. From what I know (I worked in the army and still have lots of relatives working in the army), a number of factories have been refurbished and are being modernized, but most of them produce small arms ammunition. People often overlook the regular ammunition and focus on the more advanced, fancy systems, but most of the time, it`s the regular ammo that is the bread and butter of the armed forces.

The current Ukrainian territory in Kursk makes perfect sense: once they finish capturing the enveloped Russian troops, the Ukrainian border with Russia is smaller and easier to protect. Capturing even more makes no sense, as that increases the size of the border. It makes much more sense for them to keep moving south/east along the border, creating an easily defended buffer zone.

Strictly speaking, the Russian forces are not trapped, their heavy equipment is trapped. The river is not large, individual soldiers can ford it at several locations. They just cant bring their mortars and artillery with them.

The news about the development of domestic ballistic missile is a positive news without any doubt. There's no reason to downplay this achievement. Nobody seriously expects a mass production of hundreds of those missiles per month. The production capacity will increase over time - I'm sure. For the start it is already a huge success to have the domestic capability for long range ballistic strikes. Even with a few strikes Ukraine can make life harder for Russia. Having the capability is what counts most.

I honestly do not see it changing. It was too technical for Ukraine to produce. They made two, one they kept, the other for a third party. The third party said the quality was too low, they sent it back and refused to pay. There is zero information that they have ever restarted production. Ukraine's new missile is of a completely different make and model. The old system's accurately has never been tested either. US's system has pinpoint proven accuracy and multiple warhead types for every kind of task. And the successor to it will have massive range and even more guidance systems then the three different ones in the current system.
