Your pond is having an algae bloom. I use Microbelift products. I do not work for them nor profit from them but sing their praises! The water has high level of Nitrates. Microbelift PL and Microbelift Nite Out does the trick. The bacteria will process all of the Nitrates and complete the Nitrogen Cycle and turn the Nitrates into N2 Nitrogen Gas.
@catherineshiddengarden25967 ай бұрын
Thanks for the info. I’ll definitely look into those products. It all started with the over population of koi 2 years ago now. Used to always be clear for years before that.

Beautiful garden thanks for sharing. Can I ask what product are you using to dtrip the paint from the concrete pots? I have my late aunts fountain it’s a woman with roses. She painted it all black and the roses red. It’s not my taste at all.
@catherineshiddengarden25967 ай бұрын
I used a brand name, Jasco. Premium paint & epoxy remover. It says it was for concrete. But there were other products on the shelf, saying you could use it for concrete and masonry. Good luck with your project. I hope it turns out great. Thanks for watching 😊

Do you mean the ground cover by the Koi pond with the little blue flowers? Sunshine Speedwell. It likes semi moist soil. If that’s not what you were meaning, let me know the timestamp on the video. 😊

I just found your channel and I really enjoyed your video/garden tour. Your gardens are very beautiful. You mentioned that you got rid of your viburnum. I'm wondering what you didn't like about them? I have a nannyberry and two arrowwood, the arrowwoods are newly planted last fall and one of them has viburnum leaf beetle that I'm treating. I hope it's not something that keeps coming back year after year.
@catherineshiddengarden25967 ай бұрын
I had the Leatherleaf Viburnum. I liked the looks of the plant but pruning it was horrible because it has a powdery texture that if inhaled would cause a coughing fit & it irritates the skin. They would have been better in a landscape set far back where it could grow in peace. I’ve never dealt with that beetle. I sure hope they move on next season.

What are you going to do with all the fig trees? They have beautiful growth. I just found your channel. Thank you.
@catherineshiddengarden25967 ай бұрын
I’m growing the fig trees to taste different verities of figs. Then I’m slowly deciding which I like the best. Selling the others or giving away to other people wanting to try fig growing. Usually people near by. There are 100’s of verities to taste. Check out my playlist of fig tasting. It will give you an idea of flavors. Thanks for tuning in.😊

I like to know how old those parts are I tell me gave me some pots they're moving down in North Carolina I'm the one with memorial Park in New Kensington PA and I have 30 gardens out there but yeah they gave me two of those three three maybe four of those pots and I just love them and their I can tell they're old but I have no idea how old do you have any idea let me know okay bye
@catherineshiddengarden25967 ай бұрын
The concrete pots? Those must be fairly old. 40 years maybe older but they do still make that pattern of pots. Guess depending on the age of the home. My home was built in the 20’s
