Kyle, I've been listening to your videos for a couple weeks now. I swear that you were born for this. It's amazing! You are helping me tremendously. I've struggled, like you, with AA and it's whole philosophy. I make it a point to watch and listen to one or two of your videos every day. It's working. Today is day 16 AF for me thanks to you. I'm looking forward to your book. Keep up the good work.

Keep it up "Tim". You can get sober....it takes time - you CAN do it. There's a lot of ways to get and stay sober other than AA. I did go to AA for about 2 years but then I had to break free. I got some stuff out of it, but it was hard to sift through the bullshit to even try to find the real message there. For me it was just don't drink or do drugs including weed and your brain will recover. Once I realized I can still think straight, that's when I left. From the beginning I thought AA was brainwashing but they had me thinking like I needed it because my brain is damaged. I've just decided to use my brain from here on out. I would suggest to try to get around other people who are like minded, whether it's in a group or just people who are sober or want to be. If you're in to church go there. People need people somehow or another and when you're in recovery it's a real help if not a requirement. It helps you get outside of your own thoughts and kind of quiet the little hamster that may be running on the wheel in your head. Let me know if this helps or makes any sense. Stay strong brother! --Tim

I think the only way to long term sobriety is when you can admit you have a problem and you become so tired of it. I’m the same way where I just don’t think about it anymore. In the past I would stop for short periods of time but I knew I would always go back. If anybody really wants to be sober and craves it. It will happen but it does take a lot of hard work. Especially in the beginning. Thanks for your message.

Hey, Kyle. I came across your videos the day I started to stop drinking as I was just looking up benefits of not drinking. I really love your content! I have been sober for 2 weeks and a day and while i can say its been hard for me I really enjoy your videos. When I am feeling a little weak watching your stuff usually gives me a little kick in the ass LOL. Anyway I just realized that you have really old videos of you when you were super drunk and that is actually motivating too. You look so much healthier and your entire demeanor has changed and I want the same for myself. Thanks for the awesome videos!

The alcohol cravings really do diminish, and can be left in the past. I appreciate your videos. Thanks! ☺

Hey Kyle, I found your videos last night searching through KZbin for some inspiration on becoming free from alcohol. Thank you for posting all your videos, you really put yourself out there in an honest way, and your transformation is just awesome. I hope to get completely sober asap, I have been trying different approaches, and I did not find AA inspiring whatsoever (depressing). Also trying The Sinclair Method, but the drug has side effects, and it is like I am still playing "games" with alcohol, when I just want to be done. Thanks again, and I'm very glad you are on KZbin for motivation. I'm down in SoCal (SB) Thanks, John

When the clock strikes midnight tonight, it will be 11/22/18, Thanksgiving Day, and my first 24hr day to not put alcohol in my body in a very long time. I’ve been listening to your videos while cooking for tomorrow. I think I commented on one of your earlier videos today that I tried A.A. and it ended up being a horrific experience that made it worse. I am totally planning to make a Day 1 video tmrw, for my own accountability to myself, if nothing else. When you write your book, you should title it (or at least one of the first chapters) something to the effect of “How To Sponsor Yourself.” 💪🏼😂👊🏼

Thanks for all the vids Kyle. You're an inspiration. Glad to hear the cravings actually go away. For me just 2 days without alcohol feels overwhelming, but I'm glad I'm in therapy and progressing.

I stop drinking for weeks and then get blackout drunk by myself. Then stop for a few days ...then get drunk again. I just cant seem to stop for good. So fucking tired of this. Its been 20 years of start and stop ..over and over and over..

Do you think its important to go and say sorry to someone youve hurt verbally while being drunk even if its been over a year and youve changed ? or should I just move on with my life and not dig up the past. Me and her aren't friends anymore either.

akki only I believe that it depends. If it is something that is weighing on your soul and heart, something that regardless if they forgive you you just have to get it off your chest and let them know, then yes, I would. Sometimes letters are easier then talking directly too, but if the wounds are completely healed and it feels as if more negative will come from it than good, I might reconsider. Follow your heart.

Kyle Sullivan yes, youre right. Thanks for replying 😊 I feel like more negativity will come out of it. Its just something that bother me in the back of my mind sometimes. I think Im gonna write her a short message to say sorry so I can completely move on and stop feeling bad. but I wont make any effort to revive our friendship. There's no point because its already dead you know. 😊
