The problem goes much deeper! Even the so called "normal", functioning middle-class has mental issues. Everyone wants to be someone, become rich and famous, chasing fictitious "dreams". I once visited friends in SFO and LAX and got a glimpse in their medicine cabinet. I was shocked what kind of drugs you could find there. Vasts amount of pharma poisons! So maybe one should not be so judgemental with the homeless. You could be next! They all once started from the same slate but work, society, marriage, stress, debt broke them over time... The whole society is mentally ill and does not work without drugs and alcohol in my point of view.

They made sure that went away because the ultra Rich want to tear down the entire area and put in more of the glass mcmansions you see further south. Then you'll see the public beaches turned into what broad Beach is now which is billionaire beach. Try going there and parking anywhere near and try getting to the public beach. They destroyed it by bulldozing it into their backyards and then the ocean started encroaching mother nature knows. They put in these huge plastic bags full of sand trying to stop the erosion but the ocean took them all and ripped them to shreds. Now you find plastic all over the ocean bottom out there and the lobsters and other animals are eating them and dying. That and the oil debris from the drilling platforms further north and you can't sit down anywhere without sitting on globs of oil. It's a crying shame but these people are shameless.

@@nancymiller7667 Hello ! The root problem is ignored by the politicians, because citizens tolerate it. There's a permanent housing shortage ,has been for 40 years, and most people don't know that apartments stopped getting built by 1980, and only commercial buildings, and luxury apartments, townhouses were built instead. Then, we had millions of people come into California, but no housing was created for this growing population. So rents shot up and stayed there. Add to this the American drug culture, which was around when I was a child in the 60's. The perfect storm for creating homelessness !! Until a massive building campaign is launched, the rents won't come down. You can't " arrest "your way out of this humanitarian crisis. Housing and rehabilitation is the only thing that can work. When I was growing up, there was simply no homeless, because of a great supply of housing stock!

We just opened up the doors and threw them out as " Cured." Go to a group home. Didn't work. Govt. declared oh numbers at State Facilities decreased so it was a success. BS seeing the mentally ill on the streets and homeless is NOT a success. We also have to realize that there are those who should be hospitalized ( as you say for long term) or for life. Then in ‘81 Reagan repealed a Mental Health act and all of this began. I remember going to the Camarillo State Mental Hospital as a field trip in 9th grade. Now I believe that it reopened several years ago as Channel Islands University. It had been shuttered for years after many of the patients were released. No easy answers. Maybe move all the government social aid offices way out to the desert on the outskirts of Lancaster.

I agree, I feel so badly for these people lying out in direct sunlight and sleeping for hours or standing around getting BURNED...they will wind up with SKIN CANCER. Tanning is not healthy either, no matter how good it may look. Will that lady sleeping out in the sun end up with skin cancer? And they need proper sunglasses too plus shots and a mask, etc..But what can you do if they make it clear they do NOT want to be indoors? Force them to be in a locked room in a building? It might have to come to that point, for their own good. And I don't know where they're pooping but I do know pooping outdoors could lead to a hepatitis outbreak like it did in San Diego. California already has funds for homeless and it goes to salaries of educated people who do nothing about the homeless. So let's create more educated do nothing salaries for the mentally ill. Tax payers can pay for facilities that lock up mentally ill and drug them up so much that they are zombies out of site out of mind. Great way to make sure the mentally ill stay ill and never actually grow and heal from their trauma and wounds.

They did not want him filming because he is not helping with the demeanor of his videos. Happy music like its a wonderful party, but for these dangerous crazy drudged homeless. Never broaching the subject of the capable unemployed forced to the streets, coming to Venice so to bring attention to their plight. Military row of homeless veterans perfect clean tents. No nothing like this.. just fkin happy music, such a beautiful day. They are finely bringing the kind wonderful sheriff and his gentlemen, to offer real safe clean housing and employment opportunity's to the able and treatment for the ill..lmfao! Germans framing of the issue is bull shit. This is why others are encouraged to film because they frame the issue correctly. Venice is in the public view, and the problem needs addressed at is cause that created all these homeless. The problem is what has made them homeless, and here's a hint, its not drugs its not craziness, that always was here and most of them use to be able to hold a job and afford the rent. The lower social class was never pretty but built your products. Your greed has created them and built China. German reflects the issue as, the only reason there are homeless, is their own personal irresponsibility that made them all homeless, and this is just not the case.

Honestly the homeless are a big reason why a lot of people are staying away from Venice. Venice was cleaned up. But it is going to take time to gain back the confidence of tourists and locals since the area was tainted by the mass homeless invasion. I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the great contributions of the Democrats community to our society. I love driving down there streets and seeing the American flag waving so proudly in every yard. Their peaceful and generous nature make them ideal neighborhoods family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture. You can witness this by their strict adherence to our local and Federal laws. Their commitment to academic excellence en-riches our schools and services as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as people. Just watching their Special kind of Science change our society is simply amazing. I mean, who ever thought there are 187 Genders? Real estate values are fueled by the mix of Democrat Americans into an area due to their caring and respectful nature of all they have achieve through their enthusiasm for self improvement by hard work and a self-reliant can-do nature. Without their industrious and creativity drive, we would undoubtedly be poorer as a nation. Well, except for the Mass Shootings,The Racist, Lawless,Violence, Junkies. Self Entitled, Christian Hating, Antifa, Loving, Police Hating, Pedophile Loving, Hating, Abortion Loving, And Go woke Go Broke.

Thanks for the update. I’m from California but I go to school in North Carolina. I go back-and-forth from East Coast to West Coast often. I haven’t been at Venice Beach since it’s been so bad for the past year and some change.
