In order: Thorough reseach takes so very long, increases rge production time of an accurate historical fiction. Hence why so few "historical" pieces are actually accurate. Armor, yes! Very intensive. Takes a very long time and people forget how much work goes into it, especially if you want it to actually look nice, and there's always more than one project going. There's a reason well-made plate armor was so expensive historically. Deadlines. Much like the trenches of World War I, there's no winning there.

We shouldn't give people an out like that though no matter how much we like them. He got a lot of money to make this book and it's still not out after such a long time, longer than it takes for many people to do a similar project. He needs to maybe be less of a perfectionist. He's doing a lot of what he has called "fussing". He's fidgeting with unimportant details in an effort to be unimaginably precise about details that will hardly be noticed. I like his idea about writing the whole thing out in the form of a short story and then dividing it into comic book style from there. That's what would be best for someone with his style where he can go on and on and on. I hope it comes out soon. I foresaw this, as many others did, simply on the basis of the overwhelming majority of kickstarters biting off way more than they can chew and under-delivering way past the due date and did not contribute to the campaign, but will be buying the final product. I don't buy a lot of things like this, but I've been such a fan of his for sooooo long I just have to own it.... when it's done! lol

It's great to hear the information from a great orator like yourself. Whilst it would be good to see more videos, I think I speak for many people here when I say that I value quality over quantity. The vlogbrothers are lovely but they are a 'jack of all trades' in some ways. Yes they have a KZbin empire, spanning dozens of channels but I think KZbin is more about finding your niche and doing it well. Keep it up!

I honestly feel that setting up a team would do wonders for the channel if done right. Imagine like a young passionate editor putting his own "easter eggs" joke edits for us millenials, consistent style of thumbnails and not to mention that more people can help Lindey cover more subjects and cover them better I really feel you should give it a shot, for both old fans and new. All hail Lindey!

Hi Lloyd. Getting the full graphic novel about "Hannibal" absolutely historically correct in one single try, is a plan destined for failure. It may lead to procrastination, and shortly after you cannot procrastinate any longer and finally publish the good-enough document, several know-it-alls will point out you made some mistakes. And besides that, even if historical "facts" can change over time.... There's no escaping from inaccuracies in such a grand project. The alternative approach is to simply accept this as a fact of life, and to update the actual graphic novel on a regular basis. Just like in mechanical engineering, where the design of a product is revised (Marl I, Mark II, etc.) it is not uncommon to revise a text. E.g., "The Common Sense Book of Baby and Child Care" by pediatrician Benjamin Spock was revised many times (1st edition, 2nd edition, etc), and stilled maintained its authority as a go to guide for raising the little brats. Software gets updated, improved and republished in a similar fashion, often by adding a year suffix. I advise you to do something similar with "Hannibal, a graphic novel".

Lindy, you are a trooper, and your instincts to not totally overwork yourself are well-tuned and healthy. If you started turning out videos akin to your usual calibre at a rate of 2 per week, i would suspect a coronary incident within a few months. So unless you really are dying anyway, power on to the alternative.
