I'm doing one of those exposed roots trees as well. A mostly forgotten style that was very popular in the 1970s.

That’s great Andrew. Neagari style has become very fashionable lately. I love them because each one is so different to another. Fun to make too!

Love your videos Terry , I'm very new to bonsai ( 1yr) , and was searching for anything related to chinese elm, that's when I came across your videos on that big chinese elm you have( Absolutely beautiful), would love to see a little video on how it is doing ,, keep up the great work

Thanks so much and welcome to the world of bonsai, and down the rabbit hole you go! 😂 Thanks for asking, the last video on my large elm was when it was repotted in spring 2022. I did not really work on it much this season, just let it grew. I am sure I will feature it soon, during the growing season ahead.

9:58- Terry -It being late winter I am not going to much work and then removes most of the tree hahah
@TerryErasmusbonsai Жыл бұрын
😃 when you know, one can never tell. I meant I was not going to do heavy bending, create Shari or Jin etc. Most of that foliage was sitting on top of the tree and so in that cut I probably did remove a significant % of the tree. Funny, when I was editing I heard myself saying that and wondered if someone would comment on it 😂 You did not disappoint

Grazie per i tuoi video! Cosa intendi per piantine di pino da seme trattate come talee? Grazie ancora😊

Hi Maurizio. In the video you see me cutting the stem of the pine seedling. If you wish to know more about the process I have linked to the video. Please watch that.
