Update on Franzis tube radio kit - volume modification

This video details adding an electronic component to the Franzis Radio Kit. The component is a 10uf 25v capacitor that is soldered to pins 1 and 8 of the integrated circuit (IC). Pin 1 and Pin 8 are across from each other. Pin 1 is to the left of the notch of the chip. The positive (+) side of the capacitor connects to Pin 1, and the negative (-) side connects to Pin 8. If you don’t like the mod you just remove the capacitor.

10mfds is what I have seen on pins 1 and 8 on all projects using the audio amp.

@Invisible Light but in the kit there is the ferrite antenna ? there is a Manual Guide in ENGLISH ,,,and wherei find ? thanks

I'll do some further experimentation when I get round to assembling this little kit. I love these odd receiver designs. Your efforts are appreciated, but I do feel you left out the demonstrations of some received stations. No radio does well without an actual demonstration.

I been doing tube sets for many yrs. Even restoration. Mods have come a long way. Yeah, the little amp uses the 10uf. Done so many modern receivers as well

If it's using the LM386, those are no longer going to be produced. After decades, it is now being discontinued. I have built many Home-brew Tube sets, and done restorations. One of the biggest projects was a Hallicrafters SX-24. 1939 era.
