Congrats on the new bike! In USA, Beta USA is sort of the best place for me personally to purchase accessories. Also, AOMC/HighwayDirtBikes/Seatconcepts/MoskoMoto/MotoMinded/EnduroEngineering, lots of USA based companies for this build.

The Beta is looking great. You just need to get it on some trails. Too bad you couldn't ride on Saturday. I took the 690 out for a few hours and got it properly dirty on parts of the Hamster.

Hello Adam, of the all the dual sport motorcycles, i just love the Beta 500rrs. Just because of the looks and the stance. It seems it can go anywhere. I just have a few queries. Just would like to know if it can be ridden over long distances like crossing continents. And how many miles on the oil change and valve check. Regarding about the reliability, i will be taking the bike to remote destinations, so will it hold up. Thank you

Hi. I have 130 hours on it and only ride it out when it's going to be a remote destination day trip and maybe one overnighter not a multi-day trip. For that, it's been great. I am going to take it on the trans-americas trail next year which will be a 40 day trip off the beta and that'll be the first real overland / RTW trip with it. but the motor is still really strong. Valves have been in spec every single check, it hasn't eaten up spark plugs and it's happy with oil changes and never burns oil. Good balance, no tank slappers at 60MPH but it does drink a lot more fuel at that temp.

This is the 723R. The previous owners bought them and they came with the bike unmounted. The rear is a little too big but it's really a fantastic tire on and off-road. I love it.

Hey Adam I live over in Brownsville VT and im curious what dealer you go to for everything Beta related. Looking to pick up a 2020 500 and looking for feedback on dealers.

I started with Nault's but their prices for maintenance are insane. They were double-billing me on some things. Now I'm using Barnstormers over in White Hall NY. They only work on Beta and sell Beta but they don't keep inventory so you have to order and then wait but the guys are great and really care about bikes and the riders.

What size rear tire did you buy that just barely fit?

It was a 140/80/18 tire but the GoldenTyre Rally Raid has just much larger teeth and that's why it wore through.

how do you like the Rekluse, I recently picked up a 2015 500rs with a rekluse core exp, it was an absolute pain to get it to stop dragging at idle. What oil do you run?

I'm running factory recommended spec Motul Transmission fluid (green stuff). I did have to have the Rekluse adjusted to eliminate drag so if you can, get the Rekluse manual and look at the adjustment guide.

Adam Chandler Previous owner was using shell rotella, I switched out to the motul also it helped greatly, then yes after adjustment about perfect I believe now. Guess I will stick to the Motul .
