Update On My Channel Being Demonetized for Invalid Traffic

After chatting with creator support for a sixth time, a supervisor informed me that while there is invalid traffic on my channel, my revenue is no longer being impacted. This is contradictory to what I was told all other times I contacted support but needless to say is great news. I plan to keep the original video up to bring awareness about this issue with the hope that KZbin looks further into it so other content creators are not unfairly punished.

The lack of transparency works well for KZbin: if they were honest and accountable it would cost them in litigation from disclosure. The automated algorithms they use are deliberately obfuscated primarily to avoid people finding loopholes, but also because they don't know themselves how their spaghetti code works.

Amen...I lost a Gmail account for supposedly violating si.e term of service and referred to a web page with about half a.million reasons... nothing specific. I guess I was supposed to guess or pick one. I never received an explanation and I will bet I mail them from another account for close to a year and never got anything back from them.

That's the way they work. Look up Yanis Varoufakis' writings and speeches on what he calls "Technofeudalism". The only distribution for content creators like Antenna Man to reach an audience is through Google, and he is completely at Google's mercy with no recourse. I'm so happy that this is resolved. That was so unfair to a decent channel! I look forward to your info/review/video on the Tablo 4 tuner box. I'm hoping that it has HDMI and not using the home network to watch TV. I actually hate those because for me, I only use HDMI with my DVRs. If it had HDMI and the price is reasonable, I'd be tempted to buy 2 or maybe even 3. That also depends on the monthly fee for the internet powered guide and if the box has the option that, if no internet, it will pick up the EPG from the signal.

You have a great channel, and I am so glad your issue with KZbin has finally been resolved. BTW, I have experienced a similar situation with a few of my posts on Facebook. My sense is that sites such as KZbin and Facebook are using AI which erroneously flags postings that actually fit their guidelines. That's because it's expensive to have actual human beings evaluate postings on their platforms. Keep us posted, and continue your dedication to top-shelf information!

Ebay is like that to their sellers; that being taking a position against them on most issues that involve buyers. Not a smart position to take if you want merchandise for sale on your site. Thank you for speaking out about this. My channel has had this issue since August of last year. It first hit from August to September, then the revenue went back up, then it hit again from Dec 15th to 31st, then went back up, and now from March 1st onwards (still going on). It's very, very frustrating and I haven't been able to identify any irregularities in my analytics. I've contacted support various different times. I've tweeted at the KZbin Liason. Now I'm going through and limiting embedding on all my videos because I'm out of ideas and just throwing spaghetti at a wall. There's no transparency and no information that can genuinely help us. Which videos are affected? What traffic source was the issue? Could there be income I missed out on that was improperly flagged? No one knows. Argh!

they have analytics on *where* ALL traffic comes from, especially from outside the US.... genuine traffic from outside your region throwing up a flag is ridiculous. YT creator support is anything but supportive. I've had my rotten experiences with YTSupport. Keep in mind ANYTHING YT does under the illusion that it's for it's creators is just that. Illusion. Anything YT does on the platform is only for the bottom line. Also YT works so hard to please everyone, they please no one. That and the AI they use is a complete mess. I am glad however you figured you issue out.

Similar to a restaurant visitor, KZbin contracts with content creator and, at times, decides to not pay and answers "I didn't like the food" when asked why. That is illegal and leaves (diners) with a lot to be desired in this platform. They need to be much more precise if they have a reason not to pay.

Since Google owns KZbin I doubt very much that they use AI for scanning videos, they use the inexpensive knockoff called AS (Artificial Stupidity)!
