Dearest Karen. I am so sorry that you and Warren are going through this. I have Multiple Myeloma which is a blood Cancer for which there is no cure but only treatment, and I have been through the Stem Cell transplant and yes, it is very scary. The Stem Cell transplant was a year ago and it actually put me in remission. I am still in remission. It will be rough but he will make it through and hopefully receive great results. Please let Warren know that within a year of the Stem Cell transplant he should have beautiful hair again, it may be different from what he had before but it will return. Warren is so lucky to have you and please try to stay positive. I will be praying for you, watching your videos, and buying your books. Also, on the face book groups, please do not listen to the bad stories people tell only the good. I listened to some of the bad and it really messed with my thinking. Much love to both of you.

Hi Karen, I understand how you feel. I was diagnosed with triple negative stage one breast cancer last year, I had triple positive breast cancer 18 years before. I had immunotherapy and chemo 15 rounds, was in A&E 5 times, had the neurofill level thing, was in for 4 days with that, the chemo gave me pneumonia at New Year and they had to stop and I missed that last chemo. They went straight for surgery and there was no sign of cancer in the breast or the tissue they sent for test. The treatment worked and my body killed the cancer. Keep fighting, and stay positive, I always have been and I thing it really helps.

Hi Karen, having a cancer diagnosis just turns your life upside down, I found myself in a similar situation when out of the blue I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. It’s devastating and so so scary going through treatment but to then have financial worries on top, well it’s such a difficult time. I never planned for such an event, I never gave it a thought, it’s not until you go through something like this that it makes you realise that everyone should have an emergency fund to help when something like this comes out of the blue. Unfortunately it’s not until we find ourselves in this kind of situation that we realise the importance of forward planning. Thinking of Warren and sending lots of healing energy. My husband has an auto immune disease which causes severe fatigue and is so debilitating he’s in bed up to 10 days at a time. I’m glad you have finally received UCredit albeit a small amount. My background is in hospital laboratory testing so I understand the treatment,etc. I think Warren is really doing well, it’s a tough treatment but hang in there. I can only imagine how hard it is for him to be idle when he’s been such a hard worker his whole life. Stay strong, everyone has highs and lows, there is no way around it! I’m also glad you feel comfortable sharing with us and that it helps you. ❤

Im so sorry to hear this Karen. I'm so behind on your story. I can empathise with the frustrations of your hospital experience. I have been on that part of a journey with my brother. Especially urgent admissions over a weekend. It makes you want to scream. You have a fabulous approach. Sending positive thoughts to you, Warren and your family. In all of this try and take some time for yourself - even if it's just a soak in a bath and a read of a book for half an hour. Thank you for updating us on Warren’s progress. I have been thinking of you both lots. You are amazingly positive through all the trials and tribulations. So glad to hear that you are receiving a little bit of universal credit, however I have no idea how you are meant to survive on that. I am sure you have done so much research but in case you haven’t seen this, I noticed that there is a charity linked to tradesmen called bandofbuilders who can give financial grant. I can see painter and decorator is on the eligible list. It might be worth applying if you haven’t already. So pleased that the Go fund me is taking a little pressure off you both. Hi Karen, Your descriptions of the processes and emotions you are experiencing are so helpful. You have a gift of explaining such a difficult topic. Thank you. Wirh respect to keeping medications sorted, do you have the option of having your pharmacy prepare blister packs of medications sorted by day and time of day? This can be very helpful for someone taking multiple prescriptions throughout the day especially when medications are being changed frequently. My limited experience has been in Canada and I remember that there was a nominal charge for the service. Hopefully this is available in the UK and I hope Warren is feeling better soon.

Hi Karen Wow Warren has been through the mill with this infection and I really feel for the pair of you . The white blood cells are responsible for fighting infection and that is an emergency if they drop drastically. I have heard about stem cell harvesting as my end had multiple myeloma and had stem cell transplant but only have two rounds of this. She was quite well for about a years and then had another round of this. Six months later was a drastic change in her condition. She lost weight and so on. In the end she was taken into a hospice and passed away peacefully. She was 71 All the best to you and Warren who are constantly in my thoughts. See you in the next one xx

O my dear Karen. This is so frustrating for you both. I hope you are able to do plenty of short Zoom or WharsApp video meetups with your grandchildren. They must find it difficult not seeing Grandad too. I think its awful how there is no definitive help that can tell you " o claim for this, that & the other" . I got nothing & claimed nothing when I had cancer other than my oa pension. After we moved here I found a local cancer support group that was funded by Macmillan. Everyone has different cancers & different treatment. Nice to meet up. It was through them that I got my financial help that i still get now. Macmillan do appoint a personal support person & sometimes one of these came to our group with a new patient. I hope maybe you can find something like this to dupport You as well as Warren. Always here to listen if you need to "spout". Sending all my love & virtual support to you both xx❤

We are in the same boat putting in for UC for 1 st time but u might have to be careful if u are getting money from r the money your daughter set up cause it might stop payments from UC
