Update on my SDRA2 Translation

Just wanna add that I’m on good terms with the official dub team and there’s no hard feelings and there’s no drama between us, we’re just people who are both love this game a lot, so please don’t send any hate over or feel angry towards the dub team, they’re pretty cool people.

It won't be a problem if the English dub team publish really fast but we all know that we'll have to wait a least 6 month for chapter 2. Why don't they let the community enjoy the game

Nope. The creator said you can publicly post any translation as long as you do not make money from it. The dub team doesn’t have that authority. Any translator is allowed to publicly post their content as long as it is not directly monotized. The dub team literally doesn’t have that authority to tell you to shut it down

I'll stop the project for now anyway, there's a lot of people I want to respect in the dub team. I also used translations from Johnny Youngster which I didn't get permission to use (Until recently when I contacted him). Thanks for the support.

Wait what? I know you say you don’t have hard feelings, but this feels so unnecessary and contra-productive. You already worked so hard on this for it to just go to waste basically, and it won’t affect the official one a bit since it will have Full voice acting (which gives it a charm and also explains why it takes longer). Even then, why just cancel it? Couldn’t they have asked you to use your already polished translations to speed up the process? I don’t get it. Either way, know that you still did a great job translating it and we all appreciate you SO much for it!!

Oh no :( That's terrible... What the hell is SDRA2 dub's problem?? Let people play what they want and honor others work.. Still, thank you for giving me a chance to play the game up to the 3rd chapter! I really enjoyed it ^^

Just post the link anyways. This is a really shitty thing for them to do especially when they have no real say in this anyways. It sucks for people like me who don't care about the voice acting and just want a competent translation (especially since Johnny's chapter 2 is structured very poorly and is missing content). I don't want to have to wait another 4 years to read this game just because the "official" dub team decided to be petty assholes about something they have no real control over. And most of that wait time is going to be for voice acting which is something I'm just going to turn off anyways. They are being extremely selfish about this.

Some of the dub staff was getting hate due to my translation, I'd imagine they was downplaying their work. It's a shame a few people had to ruin it.

Trigger Happy Havoc also had an unofficial translation before the official one. KZbinrs played it and no one complained. They have no right to ask that, really..

@@-hikikomori-7191 Kai's version was constantly promoted in the Official A2 Dub Server, place in which the game was also being worked on, with people acting like Kai's version was superior despite being something different. This downplays the current team's efforts, not to mention Kai has been using Johnny Youngster's translation without permission (Johnny Youngster is the main translator for the dub, in case you didn't know).

I'm bothered by this in more of the "why" rather than the "ill probably be in my grave before the full release of the dub". Do they already have a fully implemented translation or are they still in the process of translating chapter 2 while you already have implemented translations for seemingly the entire game. Also do they even have plans to release a version without the dubbed voices, because honestly I don't like some of the dub voices that much.
