Update on New Strains From a Few Prior Crosses

Some updates on the results from a few prior crosses. A few new strains I'll hang onto and develop. I ended up with purple moscows, some kind of yellow & grey delta, & a mystery result, ivory mosaic maybe. Also an update on the cross of an all red albino to a roebuck red delta.
For the daily feeding routine 1 feeding is always live baby brine shrimp. 2nd feeding is of my high protein food, which is over 54% protein & 15% fat. If there is a 3rd meal each day it is of the flake foods I mix up.

Doug, glad to hear your health is on the upside, we had a huge issue in my community, seems everyone got ill all at once with similar symptoms. Some say it was C***d, my thoughts flu, who knows. Outstanding crosses and outcomes.!! The blau/fullred is an expected result, just never saw that actual cross done. Blau cancels out red. The full body coverage of the fullred is left behind. Red is a combination of yellow so it's a fullred with red being canceled. The dots in tail are a surprise unless it's underneath the red color and now expressed. Either way WOW!! Another way to look at this cross is the Japanese Blue Grass which is really a Red Grass with a Blau gene removing the red and creating an all Blue Grass. I've mentioned multiple times your Yellow line has lot's of potential. That pingu/yellow cross is outstanding. I still feel the yellow line has sword in it and it needed an injection of a strong delta gene. It appears the pingu did the trick. Time to backcross to the yellow line to pass that gene into the yellow line do it with the F1's before you lose it in the brother sister cross. I think you might have gotten lucky with this, who knows. Looking forward to hearing from you and your next videos, keep up the good work, my Friend

@@DGrey My husband likes the polkadots too, those grey giant tails were his second faves. My second fave was the reds in the beginning. They remind me of the reds when I was a kid. Keep up the great work!

Thank you for watching! I actually made those myself. I keep meaning to do a video on how to do that. Basically I bought the 4 X 4 X 4 foams from angelsplus. I bought the 4 inch square tiles from a hardware store & siliconed the foam onto them. I cut a hole in the center & put a 5 inch pvc pipe down there with a hole drilled into the side of the pvc for the airline. The pvc was 1/2 inch diameter. You can also buy premade filters like it from angels plus but I believe he changed the slate on the bottom to a small round piece. It's pretty cheap to make them yourself. Just have to get the foam, tiles, a length of 1/2 inch pvc & aquarium silicone. It probably comes out to $5.50 a filter at that point.

Thank you for watching! They can adjust to almost any conditions over time but it's best to keep them in conditions closer to the water they were raised in. Such as the breeder you are buying the fish from. I keep mine in a neutral ph, 6.5 to 7 but if I buy fish from someone that keeps them in a higher ph, 7.5 or more they rarely adjust to my water. Same with the hardness. My water is on the lower gh readings,
