Ive been learning my leasson with ebay sellers. I ordered a BREEDING pair of ribbon fin albino topaz and they sent me a male with the long fin..... wouldnt be an issie if they wernt sold AS BREEDERS thankfully the famale had 2 fry on her. I did alot of reading and ended up cutting the ribbon fin back down to size. He actually seems more active now not sure if hes breedable now or not time will tell

Thank you for watching! I'm glad you got something out of the trio. Normally they will send a normal fin male & female & 1 ribbon fin female. I'm surprised you were sent a ribbon male. As I have said I have had very bad luck buying off of ebay. The pictures are great. The fish I received not great.

Glad to see ya with a new video! (Did not get them from you but...) I lost all my black moscows... I aged my water, it tested fine. Did my water change and they were dead by evening. Found out the city had to flush our plumbing because of repairs near the plant, of course the message was on their FB 48 hours after my fish were dead... I had a seperate tank of black metal laces proved sterile so they are gone too. I am without guppies at this point.... So I am enjoying from a distance right now. I spent $70 for the black metal lace trio, they acted correctly, tests of water were in good range, temps were high 70s, like my other tanks where I had dozens of babies... they never produced a single fry in 13 months, lost the last female on Christmas. That funky body female could throw some interesting finage, I like her

Thank you for watching! Geez I am so sorry to hear that. A few years ago the Philly water dept superdosed with something & I lost a colony of African cichlids & also 2, 3 generation colonies of plecos. I haven't replaced either yet. 1 of these days. I encounter the sterlity thing with albino strains. They are probably too inbred at that point.

@@IvansGuppies With the crosses using moscows, the males carry the moscow genes primarily so the results will be more moscow oriented. The females still carry the moscow genes but with crosses I have done they are not dominant.

@@IvansGuppies I'll keep the lines separate. I'd like to make black pandas again. I think I got grey small bodied fish from the cross before of pingu male to black moscow female. That was a cool result. My black pandas that I bought from someone 2 years ago turned into average looking black moscows by the 4th generation.

It’s really simple. The reason why Thai Guppies are so perfect is because they grow them in such huge numbers that they can pick out the best of the best. It doesn’t mean the babies will be though.

Thank you for watching! It sounds like yours' were once crossed with a yellow snakeskin line. If it was me, I'd see if I could get a line of yellow snakeskins going out of it and then have a related compatible line to cross in down the road. I had bought a line of yellow snakeskins 10 years ago from a great guy in Maryland. Super nice lace pattern in the tail.

Thank you for watching! I use 5 gallon tanks & 10's. I cull out the fish that don't develop the proper colors or finnage. IF I was just growing out fish to sell as much as possible, I'd use 20 gallon grow outs.

@@al20o33 I've done that a few times over the years. I mostly get a few cobra males & a few red bi color males. They get a mahogany square blotch at the upper part of the body as it meets the tail. I have 1 tank of the cross currently growing out. I have to get some more all red albino breeders. I want to try the rrl male to an albino all red female again. I had interesting results with that. My all red albino line has crapped out. I'm ordering a couple trios from Thailand.

Thank you for watching! I have the lower swords. No double swords. Some of the lower swords get a snakeskin or cobra pattern. I tried to breed for just that trait but it didn't go well. I haven't seen red lace double swords yet.

@@johnnygalaxy9022 You're exactly right that the swordtail guppies live longer. I keep the room at 77. Missing water changes is more detrimental to the ifga type tail guppies than it is for the smaller sword guppies.

Thank you so much! These need some work but I am extremely happy with the line. The snakeskin pattern is very intricate on these fish but I didn't have enough light overhead to get the camera to pick that up. Females get little to no color at all.
