This afternoon, let us have a driving tour from Balagtas, Bulacan to Gapan City, Nueva Ecija via the Plaridel Bypass Road and Pan Philippine Highway. Let us also see the latest development in the said bypass road.
Plaridel Bypass Road is a 24.61-kilometer or 15.29 miles national secondary road in the province of Bulacan. The bypass road has 2 to 4-lane road that starts at Balagtas Exit of North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Barangay Borol, Balagtas. It ends at an intersection with Pan-Philippine Highway in Barangay Maasim, San Rafael. It bypasses the town proper of Plaridel, Pulilan, Baliwag, and San Rafael. It serves as an alternative route to the Pan-Philippine Highway.
The road was initially planned to be a toll road named Plaridel Bypass Toll Road during the administration of President Benigno Aquino III. It was then revised to become an untolled road.
