Update on the EU accessibility requirements and legislation

One detail: It's correct that e-readers are defined as products, but e-books are defined as a *service* (see Article (2) (e) ). E-books may have product-like characteristics but will nonetheless be regulated as a service. This will probably have a huge impact on the market because all e-books-backlist included-will be regulated from day one the directive comes into force on June 28th 2025.

Yes I am well aware of that, this very short webinar is far from covering all details and my slides are deliberatly simplfying the directive.
