Hi Julie, I have a couple of questions. 1. Will the 70k salary apply to current 482 holders or just to new applicants entering the country after July 1 2023? 2. Do you think the pathway for 482 visa holders would be vis 186 TRT stream? Or do you feel it is going to be another/easier visa stream? Thanks for creating videos like this

Hi Andrew! We're waiting on further clarity from the Department of Home Affairs; however, from the response of the Minister at the National Press Club it will affect all new visa applicants. The minimum TSMIT will be for all new visa applications from 1 July 2023. We are waiting for further clarification from the Minister as to what the three new streams will look like and we'll update you as soon as have a better understanding

Will visa 189 and 190 be abolished since Skill Occupation List is removed? If yes, will it be replaced with the 3 streams?

Hi Joel! The Skilled Occupation List will not necessarily be removed. The Subclass 189 and 190 will still be there; however, the Minister announced they will be tightening up the criteria. At this stage, it's an announcement only and we're waiting for the legislative instruments to be released. The three streams refers to the employer sponsored streams

Hi, I have lodged 491 visa in my name Philomena George. In all of my documents and ID cards, name is Philomena George. Even in new passport, it is Philomena George. However, In my old passport name is Philomena Thomas. I am not using that name since 2005. It's an Indian passport. Will it be an issue in granting. Do I need to submit incorrect information notification?
