I started a 'no buy January' on the 1st as well and cut my Amazon bill totally in half. That is a big one for me! I hardly buy at the store except vegetables and it is going great! I never eat out, but usually don't think much about purchases. This has helped and now I try to see how much I can save! Thank you for the encouragement!

I love your channel. Thanks for sharing. I'm from Nairobi and one thing that's helped me is getting my groceries via an app. I order exactly what I have on my shopping list and nothing more. When I go to the supermarket myself I go WAAAAY over budget. I have cleared my credit card debt and now, the card is only for recurrent subscriptions which are minimal. I am thinking about a new revenue stream as I work towards getting an emergency fund and investing more this year.

So far so good on my no buy, we ate out once but it was only because my wife's student gave her a gift card so no money out of pocket! 😅 I get paid monthly though so I'm usually not feeling any stretch until the end of a long month like January. And this weekend I have some work travel that coincides with visiting my little sister so I know I'll be spending some money on eating out. I'm trying to make sure my grocery shopping includes some nutritious snacks to avoid airport food and have set a budget for eating out while in her city soooo... we shall see! I just automate my savings bc I am not good at budgeting but I am good at saving so to make sure I am not spending everything something goes in my hysa off the top this way we have a cushion for emergencies I pay some bills with the rest.

Day 17 for me and I have only spent money on Necessities. This is my 1st No Spend January and I wish I would have done this sooner. Definitely a good way to Detox from spending. It helped me to see that the things I thought I needed, I didn't. This challenge has helped me save more money as well. I'm looking forward to participating in another No Spend Challenge.

It's going terrible. My key fob to my car stopped working on January 6th so I was locked out my car after grocery shopping. I had to pay for triple AAA and was informed at the dealership that I needed new break pads and rotors. My unexpected expense was $1269.

Target use to be my favorite store , since they raised their prices not so much anymore. I live in Lynnwood Washington you know Washington state’s cost of living is very high I only place that is reasonable is WinCo foods/walmart

And the last time im currently on steroids due to upper respiratory infection and those pills made me crave a burger that I didn’t feel like preparing for myself. I’m keeping myself accountable for now on. 😂. I see you are a Beyoncé fan. I am as well. She has announcement tomorrow and I’m thinking it might be for her new tour. I started my own form of tithe. I donate 10 % of my "me" money to charities that are meaningful to me. It is a small amount but I feel good about it. I follow 2 Corinthians 9:7 explanation of tithing. I love your confidence about increasing your income by $20,000. I have decided to throw my hat in and see what happens.
