Update On The Parker Brand Petrol Generator PPG 2800

A little update on the cheap parker brand petrol generator ppg 2800.
Got confused with the kva / watts, it's 2.8kva that's around 2300 / 2400 watt power.

You know you were saying the previous generator you had started screeching did you by any chance take it apart to see if it was due to the engine or the power head ? I know the oil must be changed on these regularly while they are running in otherwise metal in the oil can destroy the engine do you change the oil every week which they tell me is recommended ? Reason I ask is I got a second hand Chin knock off basically same generator mine runs well so very interested how you get along with the new one, just check oil to make sure it has no metal in it after a week or 2 of using it, I subbed your channel thanks.

Hi, thank you for subscribing, I did take the pull start mechanism off to see if any issue but Ok, regarding the oil the generator and most other cheaper ones similar seem to burn through alot of oil so never replaced just topped up, maybe I should have changed it as you recommended, didn't look into it any further I'm afraid, just replaced it like for like, sorry I can't be of any more help.

@@HitchinValeting It's ok you have been of help, just seeing your channel using the same generator helps as not had much luck finding generators like mine on youtube until I found your channel. I do recommend you check out James Condon's channel he fixes generators all the time his channel might help you if you ever need to fix yours, especially as generators keep getting more expensive.

Definitely well, thank you, I've still got the old generator, it was at the time £169 and the exact same generator again was £240 so would be nice to maybe fix it, many thanks
