I’m a counselor and clergy and while we know “best” practices, it hits differently when it hits home. Hi Ken, I attended one of your virtual workshops/Presentations on mental illness earlier this year through IFSS. Thank you very much for all you do in promoting mental health and supporting the people and families living with mental illness. I’m very sorry to hear about your cancer diagnosis, and must applaud you for your courage and generosity in documenting your fight and challenge facing off cancer. Oh Ken I sincerely pray you’re 100% recovered very soon. I absolutely love your teachings and I just discovered you so I’m shocked to hear this. As someone very interested in higher learning but unable to afford basically anything due to my mobile home burning down last year, I must say I’m throughly enjoying every video you have out there! I appreciate all the compliments. So far, so good on the recovery front. I'm about halfway through chemo treatments and I've handled everything they've thrown at me. Sounds like you've had to endure quite a bit yourself of late. I'm glad to hear from you and I've got more Leukemia and mental health/addictions content coming out soon, so stay tuned and I hope 2023 gets better for both of us.

@@kenkinter6417 Hello! What an honor to hear from you! I’m so glad you’re nearing the halfway point and I’ll be rejoicing with you and yours when you get to ring that bell! I understand cancer as I’m an only child and my mother passed of untreated breast cancer that spread to the bones when I was 23. My father had passed when I was 15. It’s a very difficult experience but it appears that we’re both fighters! Yes, I’ve definitely endured and continue to endure much with my adult “Godson”, whom I’ve had living with and supporting for 11 years in hospital for what I see as the worst episode of Schizoaffective Disorder Bipolar Type than ever! He’s been certified by 2 doctors and goes to court, I believe, next week do I sincerely pray they can keep him this time. I also have depression, anxiety and now PTSD. Honestly, if it was an occupation I’d be a professional college student!🤣 I’ve got so many interests but I feel mental health as a calling. I never thought I’d be rebuilding my life and excited and passionate about pursuing a new career being over 50! I’ve had some college but no degrees… yet. You and you videos have been a true godsend! I love your teaching too. I think this weekend I’ll be binge watching your lectures along with some other free online studies I’m doing. Thank you for updating and sharing your journey through leukemia. I’m in MD but would gladly donate blood on your behalf. My mother’s family is from Flemington, NJ and I still have an aunt there. Maybe someday I’d be blessed enough to actually be enrolled in one of your classes! In the meantime I’ve put you on our prayer list.
