What’s it like to peddle? Throttles are illegal here so I’m hoping to use top level peddle assist and pretty much ghost peddle as the next best thing to a throttle..
@RoamingWithRomain5 ай бұрын
Umm best thing I can compare it to is a heavy BMX bike so not great. Honestly though where I’m at you’re suppose to always peddle and never exceed 20km/h so I just slow down and start to fake peddle if I see a police car around.

It's nowhere near as bad to pedal as people would have you believe. Get the bike.

I'd really like to get the Q20. Unfortunately, I'm in the Niagara area and I have to get up the Escarpment to get home. I just don't think that the regular Q20 will do it. The H20 is the cheapest dual motor ebike on Amazon and $1200 less than the Q20 Pro. Yeah, I like the Q20 Pro better but not $1200 better. I'm checking out things like availability of extra batteries. Everything else should be the same. I'm probably going to order that one over the next few days.
@RoamingWithRomain6 ай бұрын
I’m not sure where you’re finding a dual motor H20 for that much cheaper than the Q20. When I looked I only got Ali express results and the H20 dual motor 23ah was $1700, the Q20 Pro dual motor dual battery 40ah was $1600.

Don't make the mistake I did and not change the wheel size. Took me 700km to figure out it was set to 23in when its actually 20in wheel/tire set which makes the top speed show a bit faster than its actually going. If it's like mine you hold the two up/down buttons together until you get to P settings then hit the middle button to cycle through/set them. Look for one that says 23 and bump it down to be more accurate.

Hi there I’m a new viewer as of today. I have found when they give the ranges of there product they normally don’t do much testing. I find that the person is small flay surfaces not many bumps or uneven surfaces. Then when you get the bike you do much more than what they tested. I’m in a power wheelchair and they do the same thing with power chairs very basic range testing. If I may ask what part of Canada are you at vlogging? Great videos
@RoamingWithRomain7 ай бұрын
Very true! I do find I get better range if I keep it in a lower power setting! As for where the videos are I happen to be in London Ontario

I just broke 600 miles and everything’s running smooth. Also I think the terminal is fine I’ve determined it gets a bit sketchy on the next ride after it got wet if it hasn’t had enough time to really dry out

The guy from the Ridstar Q20 channel said that the grease is disgusting, like old, expired grease. He has a video on it and recommends a Mobile grease meant for nylon gears meshing with metal. And I'm just getting the Q20 Pro. You only live once and I'm getting up there. The neighbours already think I'm crazy so not much to lose....

I think you'll be fine I I've had mine for about a month ½ and I've already got like 230 miles on it the only downside that I've found so far is the tires it comes with are good but not if you ride over a bent paper clip or a pin nail for a pin nailer

Excellent video as per usual. Have you tried to calibrate the display with either the odometer or the speedometer? With my Jansno I have 9% to 10.5% error on the stock display that I can't get out. Regardless of wheel diameter settings or speed percentage compensation which is just ludicrus. Now, I've ordered a new display that yes, it's colour and has blue diamonds and purple horse shoes and all the silly stuff that people want. I don't care at all. I would have been fine with the stock display and I can calibrate either the odometer to be DEAD ON. Or the speedometer to be dead on but not both because someone who made this display went to woke math school and put a 10% error in the calculations. If this display works, it is compatible with the controller I get a wattage meter, a battery LCD with voltage beside it. etc. I've looked up the controller on your bike as a comparison to mine and yes it's using SM connectors to the actual controller and probably an older controller protocol which would be #2(great name?) If you click on my name and watch out for this display which should come in about 2 weeks or so if I'm lucky. Maybe that might be an option for you...If it works. I'm willing to take the hit if it doesn't. The display is compatible with about 5 protocols so I may have a good chance. Congrats on your M1. The world has definitely turned for the better for you. You're and excellent rider and this is coming from a guy who's ridden bikes of all sorts and styles for 40 years. As far as repacking the motor I use synthetic grease(Permatex 85g $12). It has a very long lasting as well as good lubrication. When I took apart my Jansno X50's 2 piece axel on the suspension swing arm, they literally used cosmoline or some other f$cked up kind of grease. So I can just imagine what kind of junk they packed the motor with. It's not that hard to pack it properly. There should be 6 phillips head screws on the back of the motor. Undo the screws and pull it up from the cassette side.(right hand side, with the gear cogs) You will have to take the rear wheel off. Chances are they just packed it with some cheap ass lithium based grease just to get the bike out of the door. It's not a biggie, but packing the motor with proper grease will save the nylon planetary gears and reduce friction which should give you a bit better range and speed. Damn I should have done a video on it when I repacked my Gotrax 500w.
@RoamingWithRomain7 ай бұрын
I actually just messed about with some settings today, there’s absolutely no way for me to adjust current and all I can do is adjust voltage but i of course keep it at 48. Then I adjusted wheel size to 20 and now it says top speed is 45kmh. Haven’t checked with gps on my phone since I don’t trust the phone mount
@RoamingWithRomain7 ай бұрын
Damn I don’t even see the second half of your comment! As for the repack I may do that after I get my motorcycle as it’s currently my main commuter and I’d rather not break it in the mean time. You definitely should have done a video on it
