I have this bike. Adjusting P08 gives you a few extra KM/H but tops out at mid 30's, so I bet your neighbor already did it for you. The rear brake on mine also is squishy like yours although it also feels wobbly when using rear brake trying to slow down from top speed or downhill. Climbs pretty steep (Like you'd sweat walking a few blocks) streets just fine for me, drops to about 15-20, but consistently has enough power, doesn't feel bogged down or anything. As for the battery reading jumping around for you, you can also hold the button on the battery itself for it to flash current level (in bars, not %). I haven't ridden enough to notice the battery readout being lame but I bet mine's just like yours.
@RoamingWithRomain28 күн бұрын
Yeah I think I already messed with P08 since I had to figure out how to switch it to KM when I was setting it up in the first place. So far it seems like a comfy cruising bike where as my ridstar is less upright and goes a bit faster so feels a little more sporty. That being said I’m relatively shocked that after 45 minutes of riding only half the battery got used vs about 30 minutes on my ridstar and I’m practically dead.
@chrissinclair870528 күн бұрын
Nice ride. Have you tried unlocking it yet? "P08" is your friend. 🙂That display should have a volt meter. I don't even bother with the bars. If you go by volts you're always good.
@RoamingWithRomain28 күн бұрын
The display does show volts but I’m not use to reading those yet so it’s less helpful, as for P08 I believe I already adjusted that as I had to go in the settings to switch it to KM when I first set it up.
@chrissinclair870528 күн бұрын
@@RoamingWithRomain Oh so it was locked? Bummer. On my display if you go to "P08" and change whatever it says to 100 it usually unlocks it. Great vid though. For my Gotrax it was locked too, but I went and bought a replacement, same model display from the "Site that shall not be named" for around $25 for an unlocked one. It really helped not only with speed but to tweak the cadence sensor a bit. It was coming on a little strong. Luckily my Jansno X50 is unlocked from the factory except a little 25km/h limit wire that you just have to unplug. As far as volts, if it's a 48v system. Every 1.5v used is roughly 10% here is a little chart to help you but you can look it up and keep it as a picture on your phone. 100% 54.6v 90% 53v 80% 51.5v 70% 49.9v 60% 48.4v 50% 46.8v 40% 45.2v 30% 43.7v 20% 42.1v 10% 40.6v Low voltage cutoff 39v Once you start getting around the 30% mark voltage sag may start hitting up against low voltage cutoff, your display may show "E06" and the bike may cut out a bit. As long as you know that 46.8v is 50% that should at least give you an idea of what the bike is doing. Most bars are kind of useless. I did buy a new display for my X50 which has a bit of sag compensation, but only under load.

I had a similar issue with my Zugo Rhino and it was the tire not mounted flush on the rim .... What i mean it is deeper into the rim on one side and not the other side Let the air out of the tire and try and spin just the tire and position it onto the rim better. Once you put air in it look at the little lip that mounts near the rim and you will see what i mean . You have to try and get it flush so it dont feel like there is a flat spot ..... Get a bottle of water and a lil dish soap and spray the rim and tire mating area and it should help you better . Dont keep riding it the way it is cause you will wear out the bearings in the wheels prematurely from spinning properly

Nice tires. I went with CST big boat street tires on my Jansno x50 and I noticed a range and acceleration improvment right away. You won't get any more top speed as that's determined by voltage and rpm of the motor, but you will get up there faster and have big range increase and noise reduction getting off those knobbies. You'll also you'll notice going a bit faster up say a hill because the bike is not fighting the knobbies, or against the wind, etc. The thing is, they are the same price as the knobby tires so why the f$ck would they put knobbies on a street bike in the first place?

My guess is to take wider advantage of markets, every time I see these bikes for sale they mention sand and snow capable which I assume works better with knobbies.

Have been commuting on mine for about 2 weeks now, and have put roughly 300 miles on it. I'm 6'2" 275lbs, I get 25 miles on throttle only in PAS 3 (and occasionally switching to 4), and have been able to hit the 33mph max speed even at my size. My only complaint is that it's a big clunky beast. A lighter folding bike is probably more practical for pure commuting, but I wanted something with a bit of style and the price is weight/inconvenience. The plan is to get a spare battery, as well as install an auxiliary battery in the front storage bag, as well as switch out the knobby tires for street tires once they wear through.
