Thanks for letting us know how Rivers is. He's such a handsome dog. I can tell he has good vets, because he looked so calm at the appointments. I hope he gets all the way better soon, and that you get better sleep. That every 90 minutes during the overnight is rough!

Wishing Rivers the absolute best. Please, take all the time you need and give him all the extra love he deserves. You never want that regret of not having spent enough time with them. Hopefully he'll bounce back soon! With the medication you can also try wrapping it around a slice of cheese. Or if you have a pet bakery nearby? They tend to create dog safe cupcakes that are perfect to hide pills inside

Poor Rivers! Here's hoping for a fast recovery. I remember all too well when my dog years ago had surgery on his foot, having to put a plastic bag on it every time he went out (I lived in rainy Vancouver at the time), it was a nightmare!

Poor pup, you guys are great pet parents❤ ive had the same issues with pills for one of my dogs after dental surgery, I made him mini beef burger patties and he inhaled them! He is smart when it comes to pills but it fooled him

Did I hear you right that he was on prednisone? Humans take that. No wonder he’s drinking like a fish. That is strong mojo. It’s supposed to knock whatever ails you out of you. I have been on it twice.

Rivers just trying to live up to his name here by giving you rivers... of pee ;-p But on a more serious note, it looks like he's doing relatively well for having had a pretty major surgery. Hopefully the results come back that they got all of it out and that it was a "low number cancer," like you said. Keeping you guys in my thoughts.
