Basically the school administrators didn't assess the situation. They didn't determine who they were taking to. They assumed it was ICE. Then they told the secret service they couldn't come in without a warrant . At which point the Secret Services left. Then the school held a press conference with incorrect information. The school isn't looking very smart here.

So where is the security footage? No school in this country is without one at least on the front door? Are you sure this was not a practice drill that hot out of hand or a staged event to make a point and stir up the community has. Let's face it, there has been more than official/teacher looking to go face to face with ICE and saud so. This is definately the type of report geared to scare parents more and ptove it was worth scaring parents and stundets alike. This is a report that normally eoikd lead in with security footage playing over and over behind the anchors. If this was the USSS there to investigateva threat which would have had to be against a high ranking US, official and the school said yhey produced documention regarding who they were, its obvious that either the entired staff needs to be sent to special classes to learn how to read English again, or the faculty jumped at the chance yo turn domething not related to immigration at all into making themselves out to be the first Chicago school to prove they can stand up to ICE. They were so fast to report this to the news its oblivious something is up with the faculty. Want to bet that while parents were immediately it was ICE, the school did not bother to notify them with the correction that "opps, it was not ICE at all or anything to do with immigration but the Secret Service investigating a threat". As a parent I would want to know about such a threat and want them yo be allowed in to investigate it. Given what tools someone who would threaten a person protected by the USSS would most likely have, and ICE dies not take children to deport them, i think at this point the USSS investigation is the one the school should cooperate with. All the falculty has succeeded in doing is panic a bunch of parents and traumatize their students as well make a false accusation against a LEO. FOR GOD'S SAKE TEACH YOUR FALCULTY TO READ!! All that school has now done is make people question the next time a school reports a CPS encounter. The initial reachtion will be 100 memes saying "read the badge first", "did you check whether it was ICE or an UBER delivery?" "Is this another training session on how to cry wolf?" Or "must be this weeks svhool targeted by teachers to panic all immigrants and grab this weeks 15 mins of fame. This was at best totslly irresponsible poorly handled and some people need to be on unpaid leave pending a state investigation. At the worst its a criminal act. If I was a parent at that school, legal or not, I would be demanding some answers, and new leadrtship at the school. And why did not one remembernhow vocal the school districts, city government, activist and immigration lawyers have been about not cooperating with ICE unless there is a warrant, ICE would not waste time to go without a warrant. And does that school now realize that if there was substance to the threat they were investigating, the persons or persons involved in the threat now are aware the USSS knows something about them and what if they hid weapons or explosives st the school. ICE does not round up children so all this crap bring spewed about needs to protect students is just that crap. If ICE needs to enter a school its because some adult at that school has not just entered the country illegally but has commited a violent criminal act. As a parent want that adult identified and removed. If ICE takes both parents or the cudtodial parent into custody because the have committed a violent crime along with being here illegally, they notify the Department of Children's Protective services and tjry handlebthe children going forward. There is plenty of evidence so far that anyone with documentation that shows they are legally in the US is not drawing any attention ftom ICE. Thosr grantedvleegal status here who had not committed a violent crime since they were granted that, ICE has no intrrest in as they cant be deported. Right now, even those who are here illegally, and did commit a crime by coming in illegally, are not considered to be violent offender unless they injured or killed someone while sneaking in, or those here illegally because they were trafficked in against their will or those that failed to show up for their border pstrol appointment or immigration appointments yo get their asylum plea started are not those ICE is interested. And actually while ICE is busy lsearvhing for violent criminals every onebelse in any other status sjpild be using the time to do what yhry should have already done and gotten their asylum claim underway because they cannot be deported unless they commit a crime which would make them ineligible fir asylum. Most of these "informational" circulars being handed out in area with hihh numbers of migrant with all types if statuses arenfull of misinformation such as ICE is deporting anyone that is not a US citizen or that children can be taken to lure patents out. That ICE will be kust just be dumping deportees over the border with no way to returm to their country of origin, and with many instructions, about what they have the right to do, and should do if faced with ICE. Many of the things it advises can and will break the law, and make their case unappealable. Many of these instructions are more for activists groups benefits then to help the illegal migrant. The attempt to stir up the migrant ppoikstion and cause them to actually cause something to happen that feeds into their purposes. Reading some of these documents its not hard to see it leading someone or a group of someone on any side of this issue being gravely injured or killed, all in the name of benefits for one polotical party over the other and just using the migrants as fodder for political gains. Any politician that thinks working this up to that point, in a country who has already made it clear its done suffering from thid invasions is not going to improve their political career as no one even many in their own party dont want to find themselves back here. Some people wiyh absolutely have to be deported as the whole world cannot live in the US we cant support the whole world nor can we we clnyinue to be tge victims of violent criminals. What about no fear or anxiety for any elementary-aged kids on our soil because none of this is their fault (even if it is their problem.) There are ethical ways of handling sensitive things even IF you think some of these kids need to be deported. Most news reports that mention the card left by the alleged government agent, was a Homeland Security card. There are approximately 15 separate investigative government agencies under DHS, and I seriously doubt each of those agencies are listed on a DHS info card. What people don't SEE is the one government agency that donnie rump has immediate direction of is the Secret Service. I think this stunt is driven by d.t. with the intent to raise unnecessary threat and terror. Trump told Bob Woodward, "real power is fear". If the school's administration was informed that the purpose of an investigation was at a home next to the school then why would they come to the school? Where is the video of the visit? Has anyone investigated whether or not a neighboring house was truly visited? I personally don't believe the school officials. I think they saw the vehicles arrive across the street from the boundary of the school and got paranoid. And now they are exposed. After all the visitors left immediately, right. So what really happened?
