There's the second part to Lighter buff too. He stacks 20 times, giving 20% dmg to Ice/fire, but there's the second part. For each 10 points of impact above 175, each stack will give 0.25% more Ice/fire dmg, capping at 60% Ice and Fire dmg bonus. I think you can only get to 255(the value you need to get 60%) with his signature W-engine, but overall It's possible to get 40-50% ice dmg instead of just 20%, which is pretty nice

The problem with Skipping Burnice is that she's literally our only Off-field DPS/Anomaly builder now or on the horizon. And Disorder, which Yanagi drives, is going to be massively buffed by an off-fielder that can build anomaly without taking up much field time. IMO you should either pull for both or skip both, all other Anomaly units take up far too much field time in comparison to work nearly as well with Yanagi, though we'll have to wait and see what Miyabi's updated kit looks like.

why wouldn't you have a slot for rina anyway in a yanagi team? if you're going full disorder then wouldn't burnice yanagi rina be best? both DoT anomaly with duration extension, extra disorder damage from yanagi, pen from rina and burnice mindscape if you go all out. that seems like the optimal disorder team for the near future

Skipping Burnice literally impossible after the trailer dropped. My theory for why they're nerfing daze: they want units to actually have field time, and don't want the game to play exactly like Genshin - you can play Genshin for that.

This checks out. With Genshin, you don't really need to care whatever the enemy is doing, you pretty much play exactly the same minus stuff like the trampoline boss thing. Zenless has a very big emphasis on dodging and characters like Jane who benefits from dodging, so leaning more towards a slightly more mechanically intensive 'learn a bosses moveset' play style, which daze just kinda nullifies. They're prob more comfortable doing this given the higher age rating so the audience is more likely to be of the crowd who enjoys that

i think hoyo is trying to differentiate stun characters and characters with high daze multipliers and give them more of a difference of identity in other ways than stunning faster. you see caesar who excels in daze but is a defense unit, thats because most of her value is in the shields (and therefor atk buff) she provides. now look at qingyi and how she provides her buff: increasing the stun multiplier. both characters are exceedingly good at stunning, but its just a matter of differentiating the source of the buffs which gives them their roles

Caeser is no where as good at stunning as Qingyi, and that's even compared to standard banner stunners. The worst stunner while the enemy is standing still might be Koleda (since her dodge counter is where she'll do most of the daze build up).. and ceasar is worst than that.

@@wits_end. I can't imagine you'll fight a lot of enemies that just stand still. Also Koledas EX has significantly better daze MV's than her dodge counter. Caesar finds a lot of love with full energy and defensive assists, she may not on average have faster stun times than Qing Yi but its possible for her to stun faster against more aggressive foes, more importantly she basically dual wields roles, Support and stun, although arguably all stunners fill a supporting role.

I was saving up pulls and once I got above 60 I just started single pulling and got Caesar. I then saw I was near pity for her w engine and used 2 x 10 pulls for that. Was contemplating pulling for Burnice for a mono fire team as I was planning on pulling for Lighter but as I already have Soldier 11 (unintentionally she just popped up when I was building my 300 standards for Rina) I think I will just skip her, keep building for Lighter and hope I will have enough left over after I get him to oull for his W engine.

As useful as it might be knowing beta changes, they are still “illegal” so we shouldn’t know any of this. If you like a character and can get them responsibly, do it. It really doesn’t matter in gachas, the FOMO and “skip this, must pull that” is useless if you don’t enjoy playing them. What will chasing meta get you? A few extra pulls and an empty heart. Only few characters are actually “futureproof”, the highest difficulty content always changes for the current banners so it’s all pointless in the end…

Mr. Stern this is Hoyo, if they want to sell Burnice+Yanagi as a team they'll just make new enemies weak to both their elements, just look at Star Rail: "Why yes we're making a boss that's 3 bodies but 1 shared hp bar, all weak to Fire, and all take extra dmg when broken. Did we mention that we're also making a powerful Blast-dmg Fire Break DPS character? yeah funny coincidence I know..." On the other hand... there's Fire/Phys weak enemies in the game now, so maybe they won't try to sell the Yanagi+Burnice synergy and instead focus their effort on Jane/Piper+Burnice, then push Harumasa, Miyabi or a new chatacter to pair with Yanagi, it's a coin toss atp I think.

Haven't looked into it but Lighter is probably like Qingyi where she doesn't need to heavily rely on ex special do deal stuns faster and the chain attack trigger (hold m1) is fast af not needing to reach a certain part in an attack string to do the trigger. So his daze is nerfed but dazing with him is probably easy and fast af cause his kit isn't heavily reliant on enemy attacks ot ex specials. Gotta look beyond the surface level lmao

I was fortunate to get all limited 5 stars as a dolphin spender up to this point, and I thought Burnice was the first skippable units given my roster also includes S11 and Grace (I haven't build her at all). If anybody from the comment is gameplay-savvy, please elaborate on how Burnice can improve my existing team. Ellen (mostly benched nowadays)-Caesar (don't have Lyacon yet)-Soukaku ZhuYuan-Qingyi-Nicole Jane(with her Sig.)-Seth-Caesar S11-Caesar-Lucy I am sure all future units are going to have buffing capabilities like Qingyi and Caesar too, but yeah Caesar made life sooooo much easier lol.

Technically burnice ends up improving the Jane-Caesar team by replacing Seth, but its kind of negligible. Yanagi is where she is best, but Yanagi is the star of the team, burnice is just there to give an anomaly, the increased 3 secs on burn makes Yanagi able to pop bigger disorders but burn is worse than ether anomaly to proc disorder on if they have equal time remaining. Also..I wouldn't build grace at this stage, the power level is climbing fast for anomaly units

I mean Burnice is Yanagi's best teammate, and there aren't any other Anomaly units that work well with Yanagi yet. Her entire gimmick is Disorder and Burnice is the only unit that builds up Anomaly in a meaningful way off-field.

I feel Yanagi is a character that will not shine upon release and as the game goes on and more characters gets introduced into the game, that's where Yanagi will shine. So currently Burnice will be more beneficial for most of the players account than Yanagi, however I'm all for pulling who you like, and I like Yanagi just a tad bit more. But if I can get both, I'm more than happy. Besides I gotta save up for a whole faction like Obol Squad and Virtual Idols in the coming future.

The number 1 problem of these games is powercreep, and ZZZ seems to be going that path quite rapidly, meaning that if you keep on ''skipping for profit'' you should almost never pull, because for how they handle stuff, your character will likely not retain value within a 6 month span. So aside from learning how stuff works with informative videos like these, also just pull wathever you like playing and maybe try keeping a coherent account with options over copies (for example for how good Yanagi looks, since I got Grace from the Standard, at the moment she is not even considered by my brain).

The current character release spread is pretty annoying tbh. There are only 4 4* damage characters, 3 of which are the same element. As of 1.3, there will be 8 limited characters with 3 being supports (I consider Disorder Anomaly characters as damage characters) but 4 of the limited characters overlap directly with existing class-elements. Maybe they don’t want to introduce too many brand new combinations like ZY until around 2.0

Yanagi just got more dmg for her EX special, why would that make her less reliant on another anomaly unit ? Just forget that it is called disorder ffs, when her EX special hits enemy, it will deal 210% atk and 17% anomaly dmg in addition and that's it. Everything else is fancy text to explain it wont build anomaly nor remove it. You still massively lose dmg if you don't play a disorder oriented team.

That could work but ideally, you would want Lighter on Fire/Ice Teams because he gives huge buffs on that team while Zhu Yuan is ether. They can still work as a stun and dps combo but the buffs Lighter gives would just go to waste on Zhu Yuan.

No seriously!!! Why are the only male DPSs Anton and Billy?? He really should have been set up as a selfish on-field DPS of Sons of Calydon. I had been ready to spend my wishes on him so he could be my fire DPS instead of S11, but him being a stunner made him a skip to possibly get picked up on his rerun. I already have Lycaon with his signature, Qingyi, and Caesar showed up early. I couldn’t justify pulling another stun type agent. 😞 I REALLY hope the ZZZ team surprises us and makes Harumasa a DPS with sub-DPS flexibility like Burnice. I’d be over the moon with that!!
