Well done commentary and thanks for keeping us updated. I had the good fortune to see the trio perform in Boston in March and they were nothing less than terrific. It has to be hard to keep up that amount of energy, to fill the void caused by Mark's illness, but they did a fab job. As for Mark, we love him and support him in his health crisis, and hope he can return to the group soon. Having read his story in the Westlife book, I understand what his music means to him and how it must hurt to be sidelined for now. The group has my undying support and I will follow wherever they lead - and hope their fortunes take an upturn soon.

The day Shane Filan struggles with singing is the day Westlife will end. Nobody can lead Westlife songs like Shane. He doesn't shout. He sings. His voice has a beautiful timbre. If you call that sweet yet powerful vibrato, raspy, and tenoror "struggling" then, my dear friend, you need to stop listening to Westlife and look for their Solo career recordings. People like me love the way Shane sings. It adds sweetness that only Brian could add, not in the same level as Shane, though. Mark does well with high notes, but he can't carry the sweet tone that Westlife songs demand. He's not an all-rounder singer. His low and mid voice is not his strength. His strength is high notes.

You probably right. But Westlife Members are definitely humans. Shane is the core of Westlife, but can't deny he needed his wingmen, I mean wingman (Mark). Brian Mcfadden returning would be a huge help.

And what is strange is that when Mark used to sing off key basically most of their career before splitting up, nobody remarked on that, or wrote headlines saying Mark is struggling. But the moment Shane start showing some aging, and took the responsibility of carrying Westlife on his shoulders ( like he always did) in the absence of Mark, the haters started throwing insults, degrading Shane's singing. They may say "Westlife" but we all know that Kian and Nicky never led any song in Westlife. They are more of backup. So yes, I take offense on Mark's fans lowself esteem and their worthless competitive spirit. I will make it Clear, Shane is the main lead singer of Westlife. None of the world famous songs would have sounded that good if Shane didn't lead them. The reason the producers didn't make Mark the main lead singer is because he doesn't have the tone and timbre within the calibre of Shane. Even of Brian. But yes he is good in high tones. That's why they used him mostly for that. For all emotive tones that were required for most Westlife songs, the producers used Shane and Brian. So , SHANE IS NOT STRUGGLING, HE SINGS ALL MARK PARTS WITH EMOTION AND GREAT TIMBRE that Mark doesn't have. Your bias wont change that fact. You must also consider that not everybody consider loudness as great singing. World famous male singers are not loud, they have beautiful emotive timbre. Think about that.

@JazVidz I hear you. I don't know if there's something called temporary Westlife , though. I'm sure Brian's fans said the same thing when he left. But those 3 guys were and are Westlife. If Mark decides to go Solo, they'll still remain Westlife. Just like when the 4 guys continued as Westlife.Just like Take That continued as 3 piece. But I know Mark will never leave Westlife.Solo career is not easy and it didn't work out.And he is friends with the 3 lads. But I know Shane never needed help.That's why his solo career was the most successful. Just saying🤷‍♀️. Others find fault because they have expectations of their fave. I want all of them together because I love them all.
