Tried to do this update on the 25. Unit froze now and will not get past the welcome screen. This update wrecked my Tom Tom. Ticket with Tom Tom not resolved. Suggest NOT to update your device.

If you update after a certain time of their choosing as in its old, they fail your device on purpose so you cant use it anymore so then they offer you peanuts toward a new unit. Garmin does not do that AND Garmin updates older units for FREE.

Nope ! It's NOT FREE ! I tried it and despite it says : 'Your device has been updated' , I tested it on a new built road layout and it did NOT recognize it ! So this is old false info !!!

My screens are not like the video. I have started again 4 times but it's nothing like the man says. TomTom is great when it's navigating to places, but a nightmare to update.

It looks completely different. On the old computer it is broken so I downloaded the windows on to this one. Apparently the downloaded media is corrupted or broken so I can run it. Too many errors with the downloaded code, I am running windows 11 so could be that but it does not work on 4 devices now so I assume it's something to do with TomTom themselves being unable to update their software

hi,i have tomtom go 50, when i connect it to pc, tomtom my drive software says i have one NAVCORE update, one map update(europe+germany austria switzerland with buildings) and one voice updates. is it recomended to make those updates ? is it safe ? its about 7 gb in size for all three updates,but i dont have so much space in internal memory. is it ok to insert sdcard ant then update ? are this updates free ? thanks !

Tomtom sucks with support. I only buy Garmin anymore.
