Being a casual solo player I was constantly totally behind the combat rating, having reached paragon level I was not able to switch to higher Hell difficulty, never seen items for the next Hell difficulty, and on rare ovations receiving a minor upgrade. Thanks to this video I understood the problem: I was ignoring Change Rifts. Now, since I started pushing these, I am constantly receiving better items! Thanks for this guide! They should put in bold letters: IF YOU WANT TO PROGRESS, YOU NEED TO PUSH CHALLENGE RIFTS!!!

Hey Man - just wanted to say its impressive how much great info you get in such a short timeframe. You touched on these points lightly and alluded to other guides, but I think it is beyond important to stress two things to returning/any players. 1) Magic Find from rank 5 leg gems (even just 1 or 2 star gems) and TH paragon tree. People focus on the legendary gear drops too much and don't realize the true benefit to magic find is double to triple the number of blue/yellow drops for materials. 2) How important farming your daily 33 normal gems is. Single best plat farming for the average joe as well as the importance of armor pen/potency vs armor/resistance in pvp. Cheers Fam.

What new players/returning players need to know. You will never catch up to other people’s CR unless they quit or stop playing for a long time. A few months off or behind server means your probably gonna average around 1k less combat rating even if you have the same gear equipped. Reason 1 warband points/ancestral tableau has a weekly cap. Reason 2 Helliquary has a weekly cap. Reason 3 Equipped item upgrade will take you for ever to level I’m talking about 8+hours a day of farming for months if you want to get to level 20+. Yea it’s great that you have catch up mechanics to gain paragon but catching up quickly means unless your very lucky once you get close to server paragon getting GG gear then your xp/loot drop will drop drastically causing you to fall even further behind on cr. I made an alt luckily my gear drop has been decent compared to my main it’s pretty much on par but i am still 1k combat rating behind my main even though it’s 1 level lower 638p 12.7k cr vs 639p 13.7k cr on my main. For reference I started my alt about 3 months after my main. Imagine trying to catch up to a person who played since launch. I am over 1k below server combat rating vs a f2p/low spender on my main and I play every day for hours for 3 months. Again I will never catch up to other players with cr and I had to spend over $700 just to catch up to f2p on resonance. If I would have known that from the start I would never had spend any money to begin with. I guess this is how the game gets you to spend trying to catch up only to find out you can’t even if you spend money you will not catch up on CR. This is huge disadvantage on top of mid/high spenders gapping you even further in BG and PVE. Overall my opinion is don’t spend money unless you plan on getting to minimum 3k res which is on average $4k to even compete in the entry level in pve/pvp.

I heard that player who higher on the table and reliquiary gain lower bous from lvl up so they say there was a short way to catch up a little further to them but never high as other player who played sience the release. Blizzard have to do something for that we definitley need a update to catch up Fairly!

​@@plazamirage7199 Yes, the early ranks go quickly and it'll appear like you're catching up, but it will slow-just like it did for the rest of us who started on day 1, so it is impossible for u to catch up on WB Tableau or Helliquiry. If they created a mechanic to catch this up, would that rly be fair to those of us who have been grinding for almost a year? I've logged nearly 3000 hrs into this game, why should u be just as strong if u started a month ago? I don't see a solution that doesn't dilute the work that the early players had to put in. U do have an advantage in that getting massive carries in challenge rifts and raids is available to new players that didn't exist or were impossible when we were leveling.

@@plazamirage7199 yea the higher you go the more it required to level but the goes for everyone so how you supposed to catch up? This is not the case for warband points used to gain cr it’s flat 300. You can easily gain 21cr a week multiple that by months added with the heliq and upgraded gear which can not be done in a month but several months of 8+ hours of grinding. Who is going to do that unless your botting or have afk clicking set up.

@@plazamirage7199 Your way of thinking is great for you and for those that started day one. But you will enjoy a dead game when a lot of new players realize that there is no way to catch up to everyone else. Oh wait it is a dying game and people do realize that there is no point to endless farming to always be behind others. Who cares if they can catch up that levels out the playing field it’s not like it will make them shoot ahead of you. I’m not saying to just give everyone free catch up mechanics but at least make it possible to actually be on equal footing with enough grinding. This system is built to fail if you can’t get and retain new players. Imagine if you were the one starting now and grinding for hours like 8+ hours a day for months to never be able to catch up to server other than paragon. Would you stay? Probably not. Most won’t, some will. But in terms of growth and stability of a game. It’s doomed to fail.

If you're mindset is to come into the game catchup to people who have been playing since launch for hours on hours daily that is a ridiculous mindset I wouldn't of made it far with that mindset best way to enjoy diablo immortal set you're own goals go at you're own pace and have fun.

I recently created an alt and feel 50/50 with the catch up mechanic. Leveling up is super duper fast. In 2 weeks, I went from 0 to P245 just from playing 2-3 hours per day. The problem though is combat rating. What you said about H5 is true. Now, I really feel the need to grind otherwise, my CR will never catch on.

Problem is upgrade equipment it takes forever and you can easily fall behind and not catch up unless you farm non stop.

Equipment upgrades, normal gems and sanctum. You can't just " catch up " to someone's 3000 armor pen.

GAH you missed a Major thing, you should SAVE, your CODEX exp until you hit 60/Paragon levels, so the EXP will have that 800% bonus and ROCKET you up, FAST!!!! I am doing that right now, on my Barb....

My issue is I play 5 toons. I don’t class change. I don’t want to be in 5 different warbands. I don’t pvp. I just like playing the game. As ftp solo it’s hard getting cr up. All 5 toons are sitting at approx 14127 cr so it’s gonna take a lot of grinding to get to inferno😀

I'm finally going to be able to start playing on Sunday when I get my new tablet. Diablo is one of my favorite series and this game looks like a lot of fun. Just drank yesterday and grinded my necromancer to lvl48 yesterday. I am enjoying Diablo Immortal(while I wait for 4) :) A good moment for this video. I just want to see command golem summon. Then gonna continue my lvl30+ wizard. I am not sure how "in" I am with Immortal so haven't joined clans. I like how brainless I can play elder rifts :D With the story I am at around library of zoltun kulle parts.

The extra xp from treasure hunter on top of a farming build like corpse lance necro gets ridiculous really quickly I did the events on top of the weekly purals from the vendor I got my legendary 5 star gem in a month (well worth it and not at all difficult it takes like 30 minutes a day with a farming build)

Hey DM do you know if there is a catch up mechanic for the reliquary and the ancestral table? Can you unlock it? many are currently at LVL 44 with the reliquia and have 128 for all stats on the ancestral table? Problem is finding a good beginner friendly clan, im 60 (280) and have yet to find a clan that was accepting of lower lvls when i was lower lvl and now that ive leveled up most clans kick you after not playing everyday allday. Or have insane requirments for you to join. So in destined to be a solo player i suppose.

sadly there is no catch up in upgrading and warbond table, so you will always be 1k-2k CR behind, no matter what.

I found trying to farm anywhere in the world is impossible in Oceania. All the servers are rolled into one so you're lucky to have 3 - 4 minutes of working a killstreak before someone comes hurling in and tearing up your area. I ended up quitting today because of it. Lastly blizzard still using 12 letter usernames. Been like that for years so I'm guessing they don't give a fck at the end of the day.

Cause if you play necro or wizard you must upgrade your potency instead your armor penetration because you do magical damage and not physical damage,.. and armor penetration is so abusive right now in pvp since the nerfs from the magical damage chars (crusader, necro and wizard..,).

​@@alberpajares4792 armor Penn is for bonus crit dmg and applies to all classes. Potency is for duration of control and DOT mechanics. Idk why u think crusader is a "magic" class as they are a str-based melee class. While the tool tips in this game are largely lacking, they do at least provide this basic information. Try clicking on some of them.

Just do your bounties, helliquary, campaign, and then wait till tomorrow and do bounties again. Get to as high a challenge rift as you can, and if after bounties you still wanna grind just do dungeons over and over or do rifts over and over until you're bored.
