I really like Jaxson Dart. Out of all of these players I think Sanders is going to be the best pro but I think Dart has the arm talent as well but just needs a good QB's coach to work on his footwork. I hope the Hawks can pick him up in the 2nd or 3rd round but Mel Kiper thinks he's gonna get drafted in the 1st by a desperate team. Jalen Milroe can't throw the ball man. I could be wrong but I just don't see him having any kind of future in the NFL.

I know you guys touched on the guys in next years class, but this talk I keep hearing about next years class is better...where? If Allar takes a step forward sure because he has the tools. But none of those guys would I take over Sanders or Ward. Milroe is a project but he has elite traits that these guys really dont have. Obviously another year to get better but skillset wise, nothing blows me away. And I'm not sold on any of the underclassmen coming out because you're paid now, you can stay and be king on campus, gain more experience before heading off to NFL.

Will Howard seems like good pick for Giants in the 2nd round and they should draft the WR/DB guy or DE edge from Penn St or a OL in the first round

I probably watch 5x more college football games than both of these guys combined. I write on the Jets board since I have been doing drafts since the early 1970’s. And before Kiper even opened his mouth about the draft. I always state their is 5 performances that these quarterbacks have to perform. 1. Regular Season and there are 2 parts. Playing games versus easy team. And playing big games versus the best of teams. 2. Bowl Games or Playoff Games 3. The All Star Games 4. The NFL Combine 5. The Players Pro Day Once all of these are completed you get a more better evaluation. So right now its too soon. But the leader right now is Cam Ward. Sanders from all his big games he has not performed. That is BYU, Nebraska, and Kansas. Kansas St he performed well but their defense was suspect. Baylor. Texas Tech, Oklahoma St., Central Florida, Oklahoma St, and Arizona all had terrible defenses. Colorado St. got destroyed in their bowl game by a MAC team. And Utah was not good this year due to injuries. Cincinnati was the only game I missed with Colorado. But my evaluation of Sanders is right now a late 2nd to 3rd round QB due to his bloodlines. And he throws a nice ball. But many QBs can throw a nice ball. As we speak a few QBs are moving up. Obviously Howard of Ohio St. who shows you he can be a leader and this is very important. He can play well in really cold weather. The NFL unlike college all teams have to play in cold weather. Alabama and other SEC teams never had to do that. We watched how Tennessee whiffed playing in the cold versus Ohio St. So as we speak, there are QBs who are better for certain offenses. Like a west coast quick throws offense. Gabriel is excellent for that. There are head scratchers like Milnoe of Alabama. He could look great and look like crap. I had him as one if the top 3 QBs in college before this season started. I would like for him to go in the portal and come back next year. Then there are the intriguing QBS like Dart, Rourke, and the Syracuse QB. All moved way up the draft board after their season they had. I will Watch most everything these QBs are in until the draft.

@ The Combine will be very big for him. This new NFL a running QB is whats working. He is that. But he needs to prove he can throw the ball on time and accurate. He also needs to show his velocity on his throws. This will be big. What he has going for him is his toughness and winning attitude. He competes. And he can play in cold weather.

I would like to see the Giants pick Travis Hunter at 3 and snag Jaxson Dart in a later round. Dart has a ton of ability and with Nabers and Hunter on the outside. The Giants have a lot of needs though.

That analysis by Rick on Milroe kinda exposed himself there. If you watch the tape Milroe can process and read defenses. His problem is that his mechanics are inconsistent and his accuracy is erratic. Because of this, he hesitates bc he has to "aim" the ball first because he's an arm thrower. You can see him progress through reads on almost every play. He also will see an open receiver low but try to force long throws which is annoying. And another issue is that he immediately becomes a runner if he doesn't like his reads, rather than scrambling and reading the field off script. All of these issues are fixable, but his speed/athleticism is not something you can coach. If you want to compare another college prospect, Josh Allen is a decent comp when he was coming out of Wyoming. Both excellent runners in their own way with mechanics/accuracy issues coming out of college. Not saying he'll be Josh Allen, but he has the tools to be better than him if he works at it. Clearly not a year 1 starter but there are teams who probably value his potential as a round 1 talent. I would not be surprised if he went top 10 due to QB needy teams and mobility being a highly valued trait.
