The 863 Bobcat trac lock is a lot easier to remove. The lower spring failed in our bobcat, which caused it to behave intermittently. Also rocking the machine with the parking brake on caused the mounting tabs on the solenoid to bend and not sit flat in its housing. This was an easy fix in a vice rather than replacing the solenoid. Just passing this along to others who may run into this problem.

Hi will you please tell me where can I buy the solenoid and the safety bar? Thank you.

Bobcat definitely. However, lots of Bobcat parts are available on Amazon. Get the part number and search for it. This one came from Bobcat. Since I've never tried to find the bar, I would go with Bobcat for that.

I have a 2012 T-190 having problems with traction lock and seat bar code M4622. where is the park brake?
@thewayididit66412 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure where it's specifically at on your unit but, the trak-loc(park brake) will be on the chaincase. The chaincase will be mounted on the centerline of the machine. If will be one of the few, if not the only, cylindrical devices mounted on the centerline of the chaincase. I have a video of my 453 in which I changed the chaincase gasket. To do it, I had to remove my trac-loc solenoid. Maybe my machine will be similar enough to help. Search, bobcat 453 chaincase gasket. If you're having trouble with it releasing, I reccomend looking at your cab. Do you fasten it down with the nuts and studs? This has happened to me and it took happening the 2nd time to figure it out... I don't fasten my cab; somehow, it got lifted about 3/4 of an inch (a tree probably did it). Because it wasn't all the way down, the seat bar (bail) did not fully activate the switches. Therefore, the trac-loc would not release. Nothing was wrong, I just couldnt tell the cab was lifted a bit. Let me know how it turns out.

My dad has a S130 bobcat that keeps locking up on him, he keeps having to continuously bring the rale down and jump on the seat before the machine will release the park an let him maneuver it around, is this park brake/traction lock whats giving out and needs to be replaced?

If it were my machine, i would say it sounds like the switches that need to be made by pulling the lap bar down are being closed. Those have to be made before the Trac lock will activate. If the cab isn't all the way down, the arms that press the switches won't extend far enough, by about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. So, I have to be sure my cab is all the way down. It sounds like something similar is happening to your dad's machine. Before replacing the solenoid, I'd make sure whatever devices are required to be "made" to activate the solenoid are actually "made". It happened to me twice, Trac loc not releasing, before I figured out what was going on. I felt silly after I figured it out.😁

@@thewayididit6641 - Thank you very much for your quick reply, what or where exactly is the trac Loc located so that I can make sure its not ok? Also I wasnt even aware that the lab bar had switches.
@thewayididit66412 жыл бұрын
Your lap bar may not. Mine comes down and pushes down 2 bars, one on each side, and they activate the switches. Yours may be different but the concept should still apply. I not sure where exactly the solenoid is on yours but it will be on top, mid-line of the chain case. It will probably be the only cylindrical device on the chaincase.

I have a problem with my bobcat 773 the heat doesn't work did you know what I can do to find the issue?
@thewayididit66413 жыл бұрын
I haven't had any dealings with the coolant system but here are a few things to check. Engine runs without overheating(means its limited to just the heater portion) 1. Is the heat level set via a knob or lever? If so, make sure the cable opens the valve it's connected to. 2. If the cable goes into the box containing the heater core, make sure the flap operates. 3. Make sure the blower fan operates 4. If heat level is electronic, I'm not sure I can help. Let me know what you find.
