I love these buds. Very comfortable and unobtrusive, clicky controls, nicely balanced sound, and you still feel connected to the rest of the world. But what truly sets them apart is the immersive mode. I use that mode all the time. They are great for TV viewing as it seems like the sound is coming from the TV. With a laptop, it seems like you have great speakers but speakers that don't bother other people. The sound hovers in space around you and you don't have the feeling like it's in your head. I love these buds and am surprised that the reviewers don't pay more attention to what makes them unique.

Great to see Bose came through once again. They truly do deserve praise for these excellent firmware and software updates. I got an update on my Bose QC 45 in May which added the blocking of wind noise (and more). But this particular thing was a tremendous game changer, as walking in the wind made them borderline unusable. Keep in mind the QC45 was released 3 years ago. Many other big brands would just release a new product and introduce "wind block" as a feature.

Nice video DHRME as always. However I think that the king of the open earbuds are the Huawei FreeClips. Very good audio performance, very good battery, multipoint connection, excellent mics, perfect fit and tap controls (volume up & down, next/previous songs, play/pause). But the most crazy feature is that those beauties have no left/right buds because they can figure the left & right channels automatically, even if you switch / change them on the fly and this is a "which-crafting" for me as a tech enthusiast. Really worth the purchase, you will soon forget about the other products and you can thank me later ;)

Ultra earbuds - not the open ear bud design but I just got a pair at $250 and the firmware updated to multipoint connection for two devices, which is working well. The sound is impressive. Still not a reason to leave AirPods Pro 2 if you are an iPhone user, except very comfortable and secure to wear. Also, my brother tells me they are very good on phone calls.

Hey, how are they? I've been looking for review video of them for a while now. How is the bass and the confort. I have a Sony Linkbuds and they audio quality is not good. The fit is also a hit and miss
@mikehancock62803 ай бұрын
@@oshakiegittens4887 well, I’ll give you the negative first. The touch controls are a little sensitive so I had to disable single touch. I wish that they would go deeper into my ear to improve the bass and volume as I wore them while mowing and they were useless. Now for the positive. If you have smaller ears half of my complaints shouldn’t be an issue. They sound good and decently loud if your environment isn’t too noisy. Even with the negatives I really like them.

So glad the hissing is gone! I couldn't really hear it whenever I use them outside (I don't use them indoors much anyway) but I sometimes use these before bed at low volumes since they're so comfortable and miles better than using phone speakers. Still using mine almost daily, haven't touched my Shokz Openrun's for a while now. (Edit: I think the bass comes through much better at lower listening volumes since it's no longer masked by that damn white noise 😂)

I almost buy the bose ultra open because I really like the look and I cannot listen to music with in-ear earbud, on-ear headphones or even overear headphones, in-ear hurt my inner ear and on-ear or over ear heaphone hurt my ear bone. Anyway thanks for the detail info.

New to your channel. Appreciated the review (in fact loved it and it pushed me to buy these buds). I just think it might have been in poor taste to sponsor this video by their direct competitor and waiting will 10:13 in the video to disclose that. Not wrong by any means, just takes away from the idea of an honest review.

It's never a good idea to make excuses for these companies to deal in mediocrity. It's a losing gesture and mentality. The only reason to rush a product is for money, which is the typical anti-consumer thing to do...while the product releases half baked. This mindset would have made sense years ago, but...this isn't their first rodeo, and these types of earbuds, as well as this industry, didn't just launch today. There are a lot of things these companies need to consider and standardize within these products already, and to give them a pass to remain mediocre and complacent isn't the play. They don't and won't ever improve this way. A $300 pair of earbuds should already have these features other and cheaper earbuds often have when they launch. This is why it's wise to buy a product based off of what it offers rather than wait around until it [maybe] delivers on what it promises. These companies need to do better, and these excuses give them a pass to continuously do the opposite. That's why you guys make videos like this, and that's never a good thing. They've had enough time to get it together already. Software updates should improve the stability and longevity of a product...NOT add basic features to it.

Can you find my bud? Because if you can't, it should be covered in a review. You didnt mention it in your QC2/U reviews and those have 0 ways to locate a bud. Period. At all. It was really shocking that I had to buy them to learn about such an anti-consumer feature considering I watched about 15 reviews before hand. We already have 10000 channels that just read off the back of the box and call it a review. Be better than that.

You guys are obsessed with multipoint. No audiophile would be caring about this. It’s not something you should be desperate to get out of these expensive earbuds primarily designed for being out and about when you’re not likely to be connecting to multiple devices. Multipoint was designed to help people listen to one media source and then take phone calls on the second. A professional/business use where high quality was not a concern. Earbuds can only run one codec at a time. As soon as any media attempts to stream from the more inferior audio codec device, they have to switch to that codec. The setting is there because it is a compromise. So, viewers need to be educated that multipoint isn’t this must-have thing. The irony there was that you use iPhone and Mac, where you have hand-off and can take calls on your Mac. So, you don’t even need multipoint for those. I haven’t read any documentation… and I read a lot of it… that Qualcomm SoC’s have any exceptions but if they do, it will most likely have a caveat such as all devices needing to be on relevant Qualcomm SoC’s; an unlikely circumstance. I think you judge things only by their “general-all-rounder use case” status. Not every product has been brought to market for that. It would be a very boring audio world if they had been.
@mikehancock62803 ай бұрын
The problem with your assertion is that you started by saying “No audiophile would be caring about this “. No open earbud would be considered a audiophile product. These are about convenience of use and multipoint is at the top of the list.
@michaelcorcoran87683 ай бұрын
This is a crazy and ridiculous post. Why on Earth is an audiophile doing buying open earbuds like this if audio quality is their sole priority? 2) plenty of high-end TWS from audiophile brands have multi point. 3) bose is not respected by audiophiles anyway 4) multipoint is irrelevant to the sound. It doesn't make it worse It doesn't make it better It's just a feature that you have or do not have and some people value it because they use two phones or a phone in the tablet or a phone in a laptop and it's a hassle to have to go into settings to two different devices anytime you want to switch.
@mcnaugha2 ай бұрын
@@michaelcorcoran8768 Wrong. You obviously don’t know enough about multipoint.
@mcnaugha2 ай бұрын
@@mikehancock6280 Opinions are like buttholes. Everyone’s got one. I obviously disagree. This is a relative new type of product. There is no stereotyped audiophile response to it. You’re obviously thinking of the extreme/meme audiophile. It is one possibility that these are viewed as for convenience. Given the obvious difference in audio output on these things, you can still desire the best output from them. That’s how it works. The higher the quality in, to something with poor quality output, the better it sounds regardless. The guys usually reference audiophiles somewhere and then go straight to multipoint, which is what my comment relates to. Not specifically open-eared buds. Multipoint has to use the same codec one both devices in most cases and it was specifically designed to support phone calls with no regard for other audio quality. If all devices are Qualcomm then maybe you’re ok but most mixed devices won’t be Qualcomm. So, multipoint drops to the lowest common denominator which is usually SBC. The feature is also invalidated by modern conveniences like Apple handover/continuity and the Android/Windows equivalents.

No audiophile would wear open earbuds for sound quality.. it's a lifestyle product.
