Have you had a look at the bright tangerine option for holding your monitor? You can get the top handle brace which pairs with their folding nato rail. Could be a good option with less parts for weight.
@davidmorefield2 ай бұрын
@@matthewkent4883 Yes, it looks like an amazing design. However, I don’t believe it has an integrated vmount plate like this tilta.

If you use an Steel Hex Wrench instead of the cheap aluminum one, the heads on the screws will last longer instead of stripping...

@@Bryster51 Really? I’ll try this. It seems like the heads of the screws are soft too. Maybe I can find steel replacements.

@davidmorefield Manufacturing specs, plus i bet the aluminum used in the screws and wrench is of the weakest type of aluminum. Prone also to temperature variation at some level. Remember, its Chinese crap

I tried a similar setup on my FX6, but I have the Ninja V and it made the rig too side heavy lol. Went back to having the monitor on the top handle. It still fits in my Dr. bag. How is it having the FX6 side handle attached to the rod as opposed to using an articulating arm? Is it comfortable?

@@scottsmokerx I have the shape arm. That arm is more comfortable but also more cumbersome and heavy. Both are good options. Yeah ninja v is heavy. One of the reasons why I sold it and got the 502 Bright

Hey Dave :D The balance looks very off -_- are you okay with the way the weight is distributed? Take a look at my latest video where I show my fx6 shoulder doc setup. I know I speak danish but look towards the end of the episode
@davidmorefield2 ай бұрын
@@ForGrimTilTV Front to back weight decent. To improve distribution, I would need to slide camera backwards and extend monitor even further (which would then be in frame at that point on the 24-70. For this small lens (and without adding additional weight in the rear) this is as balanced as it gets. In this case, I prefer a comfortable distance for my eye than perfect weight distribution.
