I "dust" the ends of my hair often and trim off the rough ends about every 2 months. I know that yall trim your hair twice a year. How do you trim only twice a year without the ends thinning/splitting upwards? Especially after flat ironing and wearing your hair down. Even though I baby my ends and my hair is almost always in a protective style, they begin to feel rough and need to be trimmed after a couple of months.

It could be your diet. I was having that issue then I realized I had low iron. I started eating iron rich foods and it helped.
@Shediffferent10 жыл бұрын
safiya15 hi if you dont mind, what kinds of foods do you eat? Im very low in iron I try to eat more iron rich foods but I dont feel their working. Also how often do u eat them
@allthingschristin10 жыл бұрын
_TrackIsLife hi there! Spinach and kale as well as other dark leafy greens are very rich in iron. You van also try adding more legumes to your diet. Also, beef is very rich in iron as well. I also take iron supplements as well. Hope this helps.
@safiya1510 жыл бұрын
_TrackIsLife hi! As the other poster said spinach is awesome. I also try and eat fruits and nuts and cut out the refined sugar as much as I can. I also try to cook at least 5 days a week. Too much processed food can wreak havoc on your hair, skin and nails.
@safiya1510 жыл бұрын
_TrackIsLife I also take liquid iron. My doctor approved it. I get mine from Walgreens. The body absorbs it faster than iron tablets.

It's stronger and growing now after being at a stand still for quite some time all bc I added deep conditioning to my routine. Thanks for the video. I literally bought several items (still have to get my hands on 2 more): *Joico K-Pak Intense Hydrator - LOVE LOVE LOVE This... crazy good. *It's A 10 Silk Express Miracle Leave In - This is good stuff. I thought this wasn't for our hair, but it worked (only used it on my Goddaughter's hair before now) Redken Extreme Anti-Snap Leave in Treatment - Nice *Kenra Blow Dry Spray - NICE *Tresemme Platinum Strength Heat Protecting (was a little wet after blow drying my hair... so not sure about this one but it was OK. It didn't revert my hair to curly so that's good. Going to try the *Moroccan Oil Intense Hydrating Mask and the Carol's daughter Moni oil. Seriously for the first time, I flat ironed my hair and it looks like I came from the hair dresser!!!! Thanks Ladies! Maryadine

You 2 ladies are very beautiful may I say! I've been following your hair tips and products. But of course I have a couple questions. 1. What do you ladies feel about texturizers? 2. What do you feel about greasing your scalp weekly? I am excited to finally take care of my hair on my own for the 1st time. And one day I would love to go natural like you both, but I want to grow my hair out a little more before. I started off collecting the Shea Moisture Raw Shea products.

I recently went through a big chop because of HORRIBLE split ends and I'm in 9th grade now...I wore my hair curly for the first two months because it was still summer and now I'm straightening it because where I live it's cold already ...I recently washed my hair and when I straightened it, it looked like my hair broke off and shredded like crazy....I felt so angry because I just went through a chip and now I'm realizing I need another trim ...everytime I wrap my hair it never ends up like what ur hair looks like so I have to straighten it like once a week and I know it's bad...I'm taking biotin and washing my hair once a week and I just want to know what I can do to stop breakage and split ends because I'm trying to grow my hair out this year and I just wanted to share my struggles lol
@Mscookie313110 жыл бұрын
First, what kinda hair texture do u have? If I have a kinkier hair texture than them, i would suggest no heat until your hair gets healthy or get it done professionally. This could take at least a year before you can straighten again. Wear braids or extensions if u don't want to wear our hair curly.

for some reason i can't wrap my hair because i wake up & my head is sooo sore, so can you pleaseee show different ways to keep your hair straight without wrapping it?
@safiya1510 жыл бұрын
I can't wrap either. What I do is use a silk scarf and tie my hair up in a ponytail motion. The ponytail will be hanging downward. I then put a bonnet on top to protect the hanging hair. Keeps my hair straight all week.
