I just used your Instructions to calibrate a faulty DS4 bought online. It had major stick drift, not worth taking apart as it's brand new. We sent it back, got a refund but it was returned to us, it now works perfect & was almost free besides the return postage. I just clicked on the first video, I know there are easier how to's. Do not click “everything else” because u see Xbox controller maybe it’ll work for other (ps4) controllers I clicked Bluetooth click ps4 and share button and it connected instantly ur amazing cuz my ps4 wire would always unplug and it would mess with audio and cut out thank you so much I can finally game with a controller in peace

You can always just delete your controller from your PS4 from settings and devices if you don't have something to poke the button with. If you don't have an extra controller you can you remote play on your phone and delete it like that as well

Since there is someone who wanted to know how to fix it not too much time ago I'll answer. Chupacapra had already done a video covering that problem. It doesn't recognize because you probably didn't installed the 5.0.0 version of .net. If you go on the website that ds4 redirects you to they make you download a 5.0.7 version, which isn't the right one. As I said you have to install the 5.0.0 from here dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/5.0 or if you want to see it with your own eyes watch his video (it's just 2:50 minutes) m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYCQmqGHi7yaicU

I'm getting frustrated on my end. I used to have an old version of ds4windows that worked fine, but updating it has since made it stop working. No matter how many times I reinstall, reboot, unplug/plug my controller back in, DS4windows won't recognize it anymore.

It shows up in blutetooth when connecting to it, with Windows saying it is setting up wireless controller, but ds4windows isn't detecting it. Haven't checked steam since I haven't opened it at all in a good while.

I wouldn’t recommend to poke it with a safety pin because its too sharp/pointy. it might damage the aluminim film which is the button activation. Its not the ordinary kind of physical buttons. I recommend using a paperclip instead

you have to install the .NET Desktop Runtime (below "Run desktop apps") and not the .NET Runtime (below "Run console apps")

I didnt get the startup tutorial where you install that emulator what do i do EDIT: never mind to anyone thats having that problem click on the settings tab and to the right you should see a list of blue words with the title utils. look through those till you find the blue words saying controller/driver setup your welcome!

For some reason the Bluetooth connection doesn't recognize it as a controller. Meaning, the DS4windows shows it, but testing via online game pad tester, it doesn't react and doesn't recognize there is a controller connected. Funny thing, the touch pad works as a mouse which means it is recognized is some ways. USB connection works fine. Also tested it on Jedi: fallen order and it is the same, USB connection works fine, Bluetooth isn't recognized, although both show on DS4windows On a side note, most games seem to work fine, but still, Jedi: fallen order made it clear that something is wrong and doesn't work as it should. Anyone knows what the problem could be?

1) Hard Reset your controller just to be sure its not trying to communicate with anything else. There is a button on the back inside a small hole under the light bar. Press a paperclip in there for 6-10seconds. 2) Press and HOLD both the Share Button and the PS button until the lightbar starts to flash. 3) go to your Windows 10 Computer settings and find the DEVICES section. Here under bluetooth you can click the big + symbol and add a new bluetooth device. Your controller should appear in the list of available devices as a wireless controller. Click it. Add it. 4) Open DS4 Windows. Your controller should appear. If it doesnt. Try toggling it with the Start/Stop button in the lower right corner. You can also try running it as admin. 5) that should do it. You should be able to use it to game with now.

Can't get my PS4 controller to go into discovery mode. Bought a 3 pk of these. It says sony on the label. but my old ps4 controller has no problem connecting and no problem going into discovery mode. Is there a way to update the firmware on these things? other than that I guess I'm out of luck. All 3 of my newly bought ones do this. I did get it to connect before after messing with it for hours but shows as "connected as music".

Make sure if its already added as a device that you click it in the bluetooth device list and remove it. It cant re-pair with your computer if its already connected as something else. Then hard reset the controller using the button on the back like I showed in the video. Try it again.

I don't know what the heck is going on but I cannot detect my ps4 controller it seems even though it's connected with Bluetooth and I did it with the cord. Also it says for the driver installer "ViGEmBus Driver" not "DS4 Driver" so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Also, also, it wont detect the controller on Steam either.
