Updated - Icejade Atlantean Deck Profile - March 2024

Just showing where im currently at with the deck. I was really happy with how this deck preformed. So satisfied I dont really know where to improve upon it from here. I plan to continue to prepare with this deck for a regional MArch 30th in Indi. Hope to see you guys there! Thanks for tuning in!

Glad to see you thrive in locals with this deck and loving the updated profile! If you considered to cut one of Icejade cards but still want keep the same number of cards, you can replace one with Icejade Erosion. It can be another form of on-field omni negate if your board often ends with Gymir (or any Icejade). As a plus, it pairs well with Tremora for a free negate. Comparing Erosion with Manifestation, Erosion can be bit bricky. However, it can be a better option on turn one if you can't get monster in your opponent's grave by Moulin or by baiting Ash. The second effect of Erosion is also somewhat easier to trigger than Manifestation cause you're not limited to Icejade monster.

That is actually one of the cards i was gonna be trying out. The trap and possibly the field spell were pretty interesting. The only reason I havent shown the trap up til now is cus its in the mail.

Honestly man, these last matches I watched you and saw the deck has potential. I was skeptical due to the non-existing recovery, but I think this profile filled all the deficies this deck had, giving you a lot of extra lines. Glad to see you really listened to me, since I was always telling you to have '2nd plans' and you put some in the deck! I don't absolutely have any criticisms I can make, but consider that's also because I'm not an expert of the deck. Anyway good job buddy🤜🤛 keep it up!

I like the ht line up but have you ever thought about just straight consistency Playing 3 moray 3 ttt 2 Synchro overtake the icejade trap? The trap is another negate and you can loop the lv3 if you have the lv5 or acti in grave to gain advantage and have a negate on your turn and the trap is like a yang zing creation

I want to try the trap out, its just in the mail. as for the consistency thoughts, I was playing around with 6 non engine, being imperm and tactics which would then allow me to max out on engine cards. The reason I havent tried this yet is because Im not confident enough in my ability to break boards with engine cards alone and just feel like I need alittle more time and practice

Any thoughts on abyss shark? the card is nuts just locking you into water. Especially when you can add the chain blocks, or even atlantean cards

Abyss is a knarly extender and very well could be utilized in this deck. Mainly because you can use abyss shark and diva to make Donna + being able to search cards like pike or ruka can be good. the reason im not currently playing it is because I am trying to lean away from being water locked as much as possible, also i just dont see the space available nor do i feel like the abyss shark engine would provide any more power or consistency over wht i am currently running.

Amazing vid like always, it was a good profile but I have 2 questions. 1. What variant you prefer?? Atlantean mermail or icejade Atlantean?. 2. Have you tried out Atlantean spright??

I have not tried out atlantean spright. I do not own the cards nor do I plan on picking them up in the near future (watch, ill be playing the deck in 2 weeks, lol). While teus/ dragoons is still the best and most resiliant combo water has, overall I much prefer icejade atlantean for a couple reasons. 1- Consistency, between cradle and manifest you have 6 spells that offer search ability and extenders in the form of special from the deck, something merms do not have. This allows me to focus on a specific play style and end goal rather then have to play multiple variants of engines to supplement the fact that you have 3 teus and no perfect way to get him. Small world is a neg 1, prosperity requires to many cards from your extra deck. Icejade has in engine extension and consistency. 2- Recursion. Mermails have no GY effects outside of lacia, icejades do wht lacia does in GY but better and every turn. I find this deck, outside of little knight, hardly ever needs to make links and can pretty easily conjour multiple synchro boss monsters. Mermails on the other hand were only as good as the generic links you could make with them and again, once u make lacia, your combo ends and theres your one float. theres more to say here, but I hope this helps explain my point of view. Sorry for grammar, lol

@@deepseaygo250 MY GUY!! don’t worry about the grammar 😂 but like me I was a waterbender myself and from time to time I always try to look for ways to use water competitively but you made it. Like I said in one of your other videos This deck has power is very powerful and has hidden potential and power plays too. Water has a bunch of support over the years and can be added to the deck

I actually like deep sea aria in this deck, the only reason im not playing it is because this format requires me to play so much non engine, so consistency cuts had to be made

Right now, I am actually leaning towards 1-2 tremora as I didn't notice I was bricking on tremora and its really only needed with prince. I also don't think the second ever comes up. The reason for playing 2 was mainly for when u fllw up diva into minstrel to recycle, u could then manifest into second tremora from deck to make dragite with minstrel and tremora. This can also be done with prince and ran in lieu, u just potentially lose the recycle eff from minstrel which may not even be necessary. 2 angerine is fine honestly, it will up ur starter count and technically, while it is worst to open Aeg + prince, u can normal Aeg and if they target it u can summon prine from hand, if they dont u can still just search tremora off of Aeg to summon prince anyways. Mainly ur losing out on the diva normal. So it's just a give and take there
