I just bought a LS460 L, 2007 with 90k miles.. these are fabulous cars.. lol and they feel like a space ship.. The L is 18.6 FT LONG.. 6 FT WIDE. nice ride man.

No my friend this car rides perfect and the rubber isn’t too thin. I use a 295/22 in the back and a 255/22 in the front. I just redid rotors and brakes and this thing rides like it’s flying. You can’t even feel the road.

Very nice. Considering one myself. I've driven BMWs the last 10 years. The only thing that stops me from going back to Lexus (I owned a few in the past) is their performance doesn't seem up to the Germans. What are your thoughts one that after driving BMWs and Benz?

You are absolutely right. When it comes to Bmw performance it is unmatched in the big boy toys area. The 6,7 and 8 series is among the best driving cars in my opinion. With Bmw you are one witn the road. It Hugs the road and maneuvers effortlessly. I can not keep my foot off the acceleration while driving Bmw. The only thing that scares me about BMW. Is that the engineering is years beyond the knowledge of their technicians so many simple repairs aren’t resolved. As the Bmw techs can’t keep up with the push in engineering. Making the cars seem unreliable as many issues aren’t fixed forcing Bmw customers to sell early or just keep the car for the life of the warranty. Now the new Mercedes I am not impressed with the nee S class disappoints in handling and comfort in my opinion something lags and is missing whereas the previous S class was the last of its kind in performance and handling. Lexus played too safe during the years not taking chances only relying on reliability and no push in engineering made the brand seem more of one for old people. Not realizing it’s in captivating the youth that you have generations ahead that will stick with the brand. Not a generation that will die out. Lexus has comfort and reliability. It’s safe for those who want just as much car but not as much headaches. Lexus needs a refacing of the brand new thoughts,new minds, younger opinions and a push in engineering they must not be afraid to make mistakes. To make leaps in achieving commercial success in winning the minds and dollars of the car enthusiasts.

@@Ny2dasouff I appreciate the in-depth response. You are right on. Most of the German cars are engineered as such mechanics can't keep up, thus forcing owners to sell when the warranty is up. Most of the bad press on German cars come from the 2nd/3rd owners. I'm considering 2013+ Audi S6/7. My wildcard is the LS460. I know, totally different animals......but, I like the way the LS looks lowered, wheels, and kit. I just have to decide if I'm OK just cruising, or I could cop another car for my more spirited driving.

@@mousiee7 go with what you feel is best the Lexus has great power and it has maneuverability. But when it comes to Bmw it’s a whole different monster. But bmw is a performance car. I think compared to the new S class I would take the Lexus the new s class sucks big time. Many saying drives no better the new accords. Audis are ok but I would take bmw instead as many mechanics don’t have Audi tools forcing one to go to the dealership for repairs. Bmws always are good at selling their software to outside mechanics 🧰 so theirs always competitive pricing as far as fixing these cars.
