Yeah, we try that as well. We usually serve them small amounts and keep the rest put away and serve more if they finish the initial serving.

Whew! I remember how exhausted I would feel at the end of the day when my son was a toddler, I can’t imagine two! Similar to you guys, I stayed at home and my husband worked. When he got home from work he had his time with our son. I always knew I wanted to stay home if it was possible and luckily it worked out for us. Having said all that, two 2 year olds and their energy is double the exhaustion, but from what I see in your videos, you guys are doing a great job with your little “monkeys”! Take care! Hugs!

If dinnertime is a problem, let me suggest an alternative. Eat together, family dinner at one table. I did this from the time my kids were six months on. Family dinners have all kinds of benefits especially as you progress to school age and homework, Oh My! I had travel seats that were suspended on the table so we all ate at the same level (and they couldn’t get out by themselves.) usually I would also read a storybook. I was a single mom with two kids, so you definitely have enough hands to manage this.

You are NEVER too OLD to have a lovey! I have a teddy bear, a stuffed rabbit and one of those blankie-stuffed animal hybred things thats a sloth. They work in shifts haha. It's a common mistake, eating separately from your kids. The best way is to all sit and eat at the same time.

My personal opinion is that they are still too young to be sitting at the table. You should still use your high chair and you will create a more controlled environment. No running around while dinner is on the table or anything like that. Good luck!

Once they had the freedom of sitting at a table at school they did not want to sit in a highchair and they did not want to eat. It has definitely been an adjustment but every change is.
